when is the asia tour coming? btw F1 was the second highest attendance last weekend (even with the haze)
That Asia tour hasnt happened for the past years, but we will go diving in the Philippines next year. Will either stop in Singapore or Beijing on the way...

P.S: F1 is just not what it used to be and now I live within 2 hours of both the Nürburgring and Spa. I did not know it either, but some world class racing is absolutely free of charge there!

Re: Thomas Cook declares bankrupcy.

Very sad, thinking about the huge influence Thomas Cook had in developing the Swiss Tourism Industry and how it changed the country. The history of Thomas Cook also had a huge influence on Leicester and the Midlands, the UK and European railways.

If you haven't done so yet, do read the fascinating 'Slow Train to Switzerland' by Diccon Bewes- who retraces the footsteps of the first Cook's tour to Switzerland via Paris, Chamonix, Leukerbad and the amazing climb on foot up the massive cliffs of La Gemmi and then down to Kandersteg and the Bernese Alps. Return via Bern and Neuchâtel, and right past our house, with the newly built Bern-Paris railway line (1861) in 1863.
