Goodie down

Tim Brooke-Taylor dies with Coronavirus https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-52262490

I know he did a lot of radio stuff over the years, but I'll always remember him as a third of the Goodies, which was one of our favourite TV shows when I was growing up.

Very sad.

I introduced my kids to the Goodies at an early age (we had all the DVDs). They thought they were hilarious - which showed that it aged well.

I remember reading somewhere that, at the time, the Goodies was the most expensive U.K. TV show to make.

He is also a co-writer (and part of the original performance) of the Four Yorkshiremen sketch - one of the classics.

Another talented human being gone.

Re: Goodie down

I learned the Argyle Street parabola listening to TBT. Mornington Crescent will never be the same. Though it went considerably downhill after the Bank Reverse Escalator Rule changes.

I am reading John Cleese's autobiography at the moment - pure nostalgia.
