| | Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got? | Quote: | | | | | I wrote down the stats an hour ago and just noticed that they've changed a bit for Wisconsin and Michigan.
Biden is now showing an even better lead in Wisconsin, and his numbers have improved slightly in Michigan. As someone mentioned above, if most of the votes being counted in MI are from Wayne County, that's probably going to mean a LOT of "black votes" going to Biden.
In PA, GA and NC, it appears that nothing has changed in the past hour in terms of the numbers reported.
I did read a bit ago that Trump is currently leading in PA by 700,000 votes, so I find it unlikely that PA will do a switch and turn in Biden's favor.
So if Biden does end up winning, I think the most likely scenario with that is Biden having taken Wisconsin and Michigan as well as the states he's already been leading in, which would put him at 271 electoral votes -- one more than the 270 he needs to win.
I was born and raised just outside of Detroit.
Come on, Michigan!!! | | | | | Still, over 2.5 million left to count in PA and those are mostly mail-in that are likely majority Biden.

I guess I hadn't seen that mentioned anywhere... that there are still THAT many uncounted votes in PA. Polls were cr#p again, next time I recommend they throw a bunch of chicken bones over their shoulders and figure out the winner according to how they land.

Have they all gone off for a long breakfast or are they counting everything then giving the result? I feel as though nothing is changing for the last few hours.

| | Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got? | Quote: | | | | | Does anyone know about the (dare I say it?) recount provisions in these states? I.e. automatic recount if margin <0.5% or so? | | | | | Every state has its own rules and it all comes down to the margin of victory. A recount has to be requested - its not automatic. For example Wisconsin right now is looking good for a potential recount as the margin of victory is projected at less than 1%. State law says if the margin is 1% or less the loser can request a recount. Expect a lot of lawsuits though thankfully no hanging chads 😅

I know they've been counting through the night, in the US, but hopefully now that it's morning over there (in the east), the numbers will start changing again soon (and hopefully for the better ).

Mkay - how's it looking? I don't have any time to follow the US happenings, who's the top dog? Grampa Covfefe or Grampa PC Joe?
Btw, polls are useless. I think I posted that a year ago...they are Lalaland schtick. They are pretty much as any data we pick to prove any point we want. I think it is not practical nor pragmatic to take them seriously or rely on them. I think even traders agree with me.

Looks like Michigan just turned in Biden's favor!!!
It's now showing 49.3% Biden and 49.1% Trump, with about 90% of the total votes counted.
Go Michigan! |

| | Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got? | Quote: | | | | Preliminary estimates indicate the 2020 presidential election had the highest turnout rate since 1900, according to the United States Election Project.
University of Florida political science professor Michael McDonald, who maintains the data project, said Wednesday morning that 160 million people voted in Tuesday's election, for a turnout rate of 66.9 percent. McDonald said the turnout rate was the highest in 120 years, with a 73.7 percent turnout rate in 1900 | | | | | So whoever wins then nobody can say it was not the will of the people.

Let's hope this time it won't play out this way

If Joe can hold onto his lead in MI, NV and WI then he will scrape home assuming they are "winner takes all" States and then the PA result will not matter which is good because PA is the one most likely to have legal strife.
