Biden is an astonishingly poor candidate from a disgustingly corrupt party that railroaded one of their own (Bernie) twice in successive elections.
More corrrupt than Trump and his Republicans? Doubtful.

I think the Biden /Harris combo is hugely promising.

I am so looking forward to seeing Stephen Colberts late shows next week.

Rudy Giulianis reaction was priceless... https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...eporters-video

"We have to forget about the law, judges don't count." I know he was aiming for sarcasm but it sounded a lot like Trump's code of conduct.

I think both Biden and Harris both have their skeletons; neither were my choice as there were better candidates in the Democratic primaries in my view.

What will be interesting, as Marton alluded to, if Dems don't take the Senate - and it is expected they will not hold the majority, then Biden (if he lasts more than 6 months which I doubt at this point) will be a "lame" duck. And the prognosis for House seats in 2022 will be dubious at best.

What a mess the US finds itself in! But in my view, this Biden win will not be easy (in terms of internal division/dissension within the Democratic ranks). Will be interesting to see how this plays out...

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

The following is an excerpt from Sen. John McCain's concession speech in 2008. McCain was a class act and I doubt that we'll hear anything close to this, if ever, from Mr. Trump. I hope he proves me wrong.

"Sen. Obama and I have had and argued our differences, and he has prevailed. No doubt many of those differences remain. These are difficult times for our country, and I pledge to him tonight to do all in my power to help him lead us through the many challenges we face.

I urge all Americans who supported me to join me in not just congratulating him, but offering our next president our goodwill and earnest effort to find ways to come together, to find the necessary compromises, to bridge our differences and help restore our prosperity, defend our security in a dangerous world, and leave our children and grandchildren a stronger, better country than we inherited.

Whatever our differences, we are fellow Americans. And please believe me when I say no association has ever meant more to me than that.

It is natural tonight to feel some disappointment, but tomorrow we must move beyond it and work together to get our country moving again. We fought — we fought as hard as we could.

And though we fell short, the failure is mine, not yours."

You couldn't make this up. What a clown show.

Trump is a moron surrounded by morons. And, in this case, drunks.

Hopefully they will end up coping by reporting about all the good things finally being done to help mend a broken country.

My hope too...But, if the Senate goes to the Republicans...there is little Biden/Harris can put through legislatively. In my view, Biden and Harris cannot mend this "broken country". Hey...maybe in 2024, we will see some possibilities/hope and/or better candidates?

Well, there‘s an opportunity with the two runoff elections in GA early next year.

He's not gone yet. It's most likely still going to be a turbulent ride from now until noon on the 20th day of January.

True...but my sense is Perdue will definitely win his runoff. He fell very shy of not having a runoff...

What is the interest in making US Military sound like a bunch of losers, while they clearly aren't? Who would do it and why,
Remind me, how many wars has the US won since 1945?

Which one was that? I said since 1945... and even that one was with a lot of help.

Simply report what's happening leaving the labelling to the people would be my preference.

For Trump to be able to become president, the country already has been broken.
The attitude 'everything is wonderful again, let's just go back to normal' and therefore ignoring 70000000 million people who still voted for Trump will not mend the broke country. The bloody mess will just go on quieter than the past four years.
