Will the mainstream media and social media in the US are about to learn that they can't have it both ways? It's miraculous that the moment Joe Biden is elected they suddenly learn about journalistic integrity! After allowing millions of words of lies to be printed over groundless conspiracy theories like Russia and Cambridge Analytica in the last 4 years, they now feel the need to cut away from Kayleigh McEnany mid press conference, or tag tweets alleging electoral fraud as misinformation.
Tony,
I agree with you. Too many media sources cater to their readers and not to reporting the truth. Claiming to be a reliable news source while misleading their readers in the name of revenue should be illegal.

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

And we all know that if the election results had gone in Trump's favor, he would be claiming that the election and vote counts were perfectly valid.

Trump had stated numerous times, prior to the election, that he was only going to accept the election results if he wins. Someone apparently needs to sit him down and explain to him that he doesn't get to choose the outcome of the election, because that is a fact that he is currently unable to grasp.

That's a pain that in today's world we unfortunately have to be able to manage by ourselves. Media outlets are, above all, a business, and they're in the business of selling content. The more trending a topic is, the more debate around it, the more controversial it is, the higher the advertising and subscription revenue. I'm afraid it's as simple as that. Right now the trending behaviour is to cut off the misinformation halfway through it, and I'm quite confident we'll see some of it for the weeks to come.

The theories were not groundless, did you read the special counsel Robert Mueller report?
Actually, they were tagging tweets containing misinformation long before Joe was elected, do try to stay awake at the back of the class there.

Good to see you are not joining the alt-right clamour that Joe was not elected, or did I speak too soon?

Meanwhile an interesting tidbit, according to CNN the people working on Trump's campaign have, as is usual, employment contracts that run to November 15 so they are all now looking for new jobs.
Question is will tightwad Donny now extend their contracts and pay them to support his legal shenanigans in his anti-election farce.

Isn't he fundraising for the legal challenges? It won't be him paying them out of his own pocket then. He has paid himself from donor money in the past though...

Watching Newsnight on BBC2 last night was truly, extremely scary. All these half crazed men and women in Phoenix with the largest assault riffles, and their kids, babies, toddlers in strollers, etc. It will only take one to flip, for whatever reason - and it will all go off.

What makes me cringe is that Biden uses the words“ god“ and “keep the faith “
regularly.

More news. Rumours have it Melania is planning a divorce. “ Losers are not sexy“

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

Iíve heard that he needs US$ 3 million to request a recount in Wisconsin. I donít know if this is a fee or a refundable deposit.

The costs are going to increase and increase and I doubt his personal wealth would be used. But can he convince anyone to give him the monies?

IIRC it is refundable only if the result is reversed.

It's great, let him spend all the money he can for that fruitless endeavour.

Recount rules and costs for key election states here, you might need to log in for a free trial.

For Wisconsin "The state pays for the recount if the vote difference between the two candidates is 0.25 percentage points or less (Note: margin today 7%).
If the margin is over that, the cost — estimated by the state elections commission — is to be paid upfront by the candidate who filed the petition.
If the recount results in the reversal of the outcome, that money is refunded by the state."

I don’t think that he is mentally sick and doesn’t understand the outcome of the election. He is fighting back with lawsuits and recounts. I think he should not be portrayed as a harmless mental old man, I believe he is not crazy and still could be dangerous to his opponents.

He's no longer directly related to Trump - but he's still in the background, just paid by other sources. I think the Mercers might be funding his crap. One of his twitter accounts was banned from twitter after he suggested a rather appalling ending for Fauci, Wray and probably others.

I suspect he has funding - and he'll continue to still the pot with his venom. Yuck.

It's gotten so much worse in the past four years though. The offhanded way they keep parroting the dismissal of Donald Trump's allegations as "unsubstantiated claims" is alarming. Of course they're unsubstantiated at this stage, this is how the legal process works! An allegation is made, evidence is collected and a case made before a court of law.
