Over a year ago AG Barr appointed prosecutor Durham to investigate Trump's claims that the Russian investigation was somehow a criminal affair targeting Trump led by Obama, FBI and CIA.

Now Durham has announced a criminal charge against a low-level FBI lawyer. Sometimes they target low-level people to do a deal to obtain information against more senior people. Seems unlikely in this case as the lawyer has said he will plead guilty.

So far the Durham investigation looks like a damp squib using a battle tank to crush an ant.

Meanwhile the conservative group Judicial Watch has been trying to revive the Hillary email business but the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled, 3-0, against them.

The positive side of the nonsense attacks on Harris is they push evermore women voters from Trump to Biden.

The latest Fox News poll published yesterday had Biden 12 points ahead of Trump among women voters.

Well then. I guess that the only child of DJT eligible to follow in his footsteps would be Tiffany. The rest (Don jr., Ivanka, Eric and Barron) are all children of immigrants.

Are you talking about Willie Brown? The guy who was single (separated for 13 years from his wife) when he openly started a relationship (which was frequently reported on) with Kamala Harris, a relationship that lasted over a year and ended when Brown decided to go back to his wife when he won the mayoralty of San Francisco? Brown appointed her to a couple of commissions in California -- something he did for a lot of friends and acquaintances, perhaps not the best look, but certainly nothing new (Ronny Jackson for Secretary of Veterans Affairs, anyone?). But Harris won her first political election (San Francisco DA) in 2003, more than eight years after her relationship with Brown ended.

So no, she didn't have an extramarital affair with Brown (you didn't suggest that, but the Tea Party did), and she didn't benefit politically from her relationship with him. Or do you have some other gossip for us?

So let's forget about how Kamala "got" there - and sorry, 22 Yards, from what I have read, "Slick Willie" and their relationship played a part in her rise politically. During their relationship, she gained three significant appointments in a very short time from Willie (The California Medical Commission in 1994, The California Unemployment Appeals Board - even more money! - and finally, The California Medical Assistance Commission - despite having no medical background).

Instead, let's focus on her completely abysmal campaign for presidency. So, lets get this straight... you think Kamala, even if she had political advantages from a relationship and ran a bad campaign... is a worse person than Trump? A pathological liar and psycopath who is a known racist and mysoginist, accused of many serious sexual assaults and who has caused many tens of unnecessary thousands of deaths from his erratic bungling of the Coronavirus pandemic? Who attacks basic freedoms and press and is trying to subvert democracy by purposefully damaging the postal services ability to function so that people can engage their right to vote by mail during a pandemic? These are multiple TERRIBLE and HEINOUS things.

I really have to wonder at the levels of rationality of some of the people who post in these threads if they are not able to put these things into any sort of real perspective.

What absolute and utter Rubbish, the US is already the laughingstock of the world because of him.

Only 5 states use universal voting (where the ballots are sent automatically to all registered voters) and it’s unlikely that any of the others will get their act together in such a short period of time. So they likely will require voters to request an absentee ballot, something every state is capable of doing.

It does suggest that Mr. Trump may know something we don’t know, perhaps that states voting lists are not accurate.

Switzerland has been using universal voting for decades and we are not the world’s laughingstock.

In essence, yes. But - If you want to go with wild times in 2020, if either Trump or Biden dies after accepting their party's nomination but before the election then their respective parties would need to choose a new nominee. Logic would dictate that the Rs would choose Pence and the Ds would choose Harris. But this year is anything but normal.

State voting lists are always inaccurate in the USA, because people move around a lot and don't bother to update information. Women get married or divorced and don't update name changes. State databases do ping against law enforcement and social security, but there are often delays between when the data is entered in one place and when it's compared in the other. Thus why you still have felons and deceased people on the rolls.

There is a new, multi-state partnership of information exchange that helps try and reduce these issues, but it only includes 30 states and the District of Columbia so far. It will be more useful once all states are on board.

In Switzerland, everyone is registered with a municipality, making it easier to keep track of people. There's no central registration of residence in the USA.
