Yes, Yes, Yes!!! | Quote: | | | | The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a widely panned bid by Texas to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's election win, delivering a devastating blow to President Trump's long-shot legal campaign.
The Texas lawsuit had been backed by Trump, as well as 18 GOP state attorneys general and 126 House Republicans. | | | | | Edit; The decision brings an abrupt, unceremonious end to Trump’s legal effort to essentially scrap the democratic process in order to preserve his presidency, a six-week-long crusade in which he has spread false conspiracies about voter fraud to drive up distrust of the U.S. election system.

Now the electoral college vote on Tuesday the 15th and the counting on Wednesday 6 January. Then the inauguration on the 20th.
Only then will it be over. Just in time to start it all again.

Shocking still that such a "case" was supported by 19 state AGs and the majority of the House GOP. Personality cult and brainwashed people.

This is an interesting proposal. Congressman from NJ suggests the 126 members supporting this nonsense be excluded from the next Congress. What is even more mind-boggling is that 17 of the congresscritters who signed on to the Texas AG's madness are from the states whose election results the suit was asking to invalidate.
Yep these 17 were challenging the legitimacy of their own elections.
It's been said many times in this, and other, threads - but Trump is not the root of the problem, Trumpism is . Trumpism has well and truly taken hold. Long after 21 Jan 2021 we will still have to deal with 126 congressmen and women (IIRC a handful of whom are set to move to the Senate) and 17 state AGs who are actively refuting our constitution and democracy itself. And the 70-some million voters who think this is all okey-dokey.

I personally would ban the phrase "In God we Trust" on all coins and take out the word "God" in all patriotic songs.

Although Trump was tweeting about the Supreme Court, that seems like a good, brief summary of Trump's 4 years: "No Wisdom, No Courage!" It takes wisdom to listen to the perspectives of others. It takes courage to change one's course.

| | Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got? | Quote: | | | | Trump unleashes an army of sore losers
GOP candidates for House, legislative and gubernatorial races in more than half a dozen states are claiming voter fraud and still refusing to acknowledge defeat.
For example, Loren Culp, the unsuccessful Republican nominee for governor in Washington state, where he lost by more than 13 percentage points on Nov. 3.
Like Donald Trump, Culp insists he’s the victim of a rigged election.
In Maryland, a congressional candidate beaten by more than 40 percentage points is still complaining about “irregularities” in her election. | | | | | It is quite farcical...

I guess made-up claims of election fraud are the new alternative to admitting defeat, because that's something that some people are clearly incapable of. I mean, who needs democracy when instead we can just allow whichever candidates scream "Election fraud!" the loudest to win? | The following 3 users would like to thank Pancakes for this useful post: | | This user groans at Pancakes for this post: | |
