Really great news, a male candidate with the same lead in women voters as Hillary.
Thanks.
I think you should look at it more closely.

The gender gap in 2016 (11 points) was a solitary point higher than in 2012 (10 points), so you shouldn't presume that hilarys performance with women was remarkable, it wasn't. It's actually been between 7 and 11 points every election since 1996. Last time women voted for a republican president was Reagan in 84. And only then because he won 49/50 states, not because there wasn't a big gender gap. If only women voted states as red as South Carolina would be usually blue.

Hillary thus didn't really outperform with women (ok maybe a point or two better but nothing significant). Bidens lead with women (at 12 points) is about the amount it needs to be to just about win the popular vote. To be precise this corresponds to an overall lead of 1 to 5 points for the democrats if we once again see the same gender gap as per the previous 6 presidential elections (seems a reasonable assumption). That'd make the election too close to call on a uniform swing (given the electoral college slightly favours republicans on the current vote distribution).

If Bidens lead with women is +14 or more I'd expect the Dems to win. Below about +9 I think a republican win is likely. 12 is really slap back in the middle of toss up territory. Do you disagree?

I find it pathetic that this mentality continues: "Any woman who is successful must have slept her way to the top, but any man who is successful did it on his own merits".
'Pathetic" not even close " Digusting " more like it

Why? Both Buden and Harris are pretty bland centrists. Are they that offensive?

Why? Some logic and rationale behind your statement would be interesting to know so what we can understand why you think that the current Trump administration is putting the country on the correct path.

I admire the tolerance of this forum sometimes.

How many bans do you normally get before you get kicked out? Just wondering how much slack I have left on that rope.

Well, Bill Clinton was at the time alleged to be the first black president .

The press can waffle through their @rse. The proof of the pudding lies in whether the voters believe it.

I'm surprised the Democrats selected a black lady to be VP in a country which is supposedly plagued by systemic racism and issues with sexism.

I love posts like this that so perfectly highlight how utterly blinkered, irrational and unitelligent a person is. You make a mockery of yourself with each and every post like this, and it is genuinely satisfying to watch.

What also amuses me is seeing the people who consistently thank you... arguably some of the forums most rislble characters. It just reinforces all of my opinions.

I guess the Democrats must be the party that wants to change that systemic racism and the issues with sexism. But what do I know, except that the current, racially divisive, mysoginistic President is a Republican (at the moment, anyway, it's all subject to (frequent) change), working hand in hand with the Republican-majority Senate, and generating many, many headlines on systemic racism and issues with sexism.

How real can the systemic racism and sexism issues be if they're confident in selecting a black lady VP who may end up as POTUS?

It is. And all you have to do is read through the comments on the Fox News website to see demonstrations of that.

But Democrats didn't select a black lady to be VP. Joe Biden did. Personally, I don't care so much that Kamala Harris is black (or whatever) or female. I think that regardless of all of that, she is a good choice.
