But I guess you mean the opposite: how to apply weedkiller to the sprouts of division.

Will president Biden last the year? Neither side really like him do they?
It's totally screwed up over there right now.. A few months ago the place was on fire, described as peaceful protests in the media .. A bunch of people basically walk in, unhindered to the capitol building and take selfies and you'd think world war 3 had started according to the same media.
It's a total mess ..
All sides of it are crazy and it stinks of something driving the agenda.
Trump is a nut job, I don't think he's behind it although he revels in the outcome.
What is actually going on?

What is actually going on? | | | | | This is what I'm trying quite hard to understand. Why is the world losing their minds when the police literally opened up the front doors and let them in? The fact that the guy appearing on all the front pages is topless and wearing a Jamiroquai hat should give an indication of how much of a serious threat to democracy this posed.

A landslide, larger-than-Trump's-2016, 74-vote margin in the Electoral College... the largest number of votes ever for a single candidate in any US presidential election... a popular vote victory by a margin of 7,059,741... that's some whisker. | Quote: | | | | | The media and Democrats worked every day to delegitimise Donald Trumo for four years based largely on lies | | | | | Indeed, the media and the Democrats used four years or more of Trump's incessant lies against him -- who would give up a gift like that? It's closer still if you look at the states that swung it for Mr Biden.

Four people have died and multiple police officers have been hurt.
Your comment is a perfect example of the way delusional people distort the truth in their minds to suit their cognitive biases. But if you're a Trump supporter, that shouldn't be surprising.

It sounds as if one unarmed protester was shot dead by police, and three others died of "medical emergencies", perhaps they got over excited?

Everybody knew there was going be a protest, the police and national guard were right there.. It was 'stormed' by a bunch of old ladies, nutjobs and actors, not a heavily armed professional militia.
You seriously think that the building could not have been defended if they wanted to defend it? That's the delusion right there.

You said that it was just people inside taking selfies and had tried to completely downplay what had actually happened. So please stop changing your story to try to back yourself up. Indeed, it was not stormed by a "heavily armed professional militia," but why and how exactly does that change the events that did occur?
It was Pence who finally called in the National Guard after Trump had refused to do so.

| | Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got? | Quote: | | | | | Yes, your inability to understand statistics on display once again. | | | | | Haha, I love the condescension from the troll! You show me your qualifications in statistics and I'll show you mine. Hint, mine has the words "mathematical statistics" written in black ink on it.
Unfortunately you're the one displaying yet another facet of your ignorance, to add to your lack of knowledge of world trade procedures and American politics, as well as your total failure in prognostication. 7,059,741 votes is 9.5% more than Trump's total. Nearly 10%; you call that a whisker? Statistics -- see?
Biden's massive popular vote win is all the more impressive when you consider that five of the 59 presidential elections to date were won by a candidate with a net negative margin on the popular vote, including dear old Trump, of course. That means that his aggregate losing margin over his two presidential elections is a staggering 9,928,427. People over there really don't like him, do they? Statistics!
With 51.32% of the popular vote, Biden's win ranks 32nd in the list of 59 elections. That's just below the median and very far from a "whisker". 17 presidents -- more than a quarter of them -- were elected with a smaller popular vote margin (in percentage terms) than Biden's, including Trump, whose (negative) margin against Clinton was the third lowest of all time. Now that's a whisker. Look, statistics! | Quote: | | | | | It's closer still if you look at the states that swung it for Mr Biden. | | | | | Well, there's a wonderfully meaningless statement. How about following up with "Trump would've won it if it weren't for Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and all the other states that went for Biden!" Or maybe you could just sit in the corner, wailing "The election was rigged! Fraud! Hoax!"
Your butthurt really is showing!

51% is a landslide for the Democrats
51% is a whisker for Brexit | | | | | Both statements may be true, or false. As always, context! You need to look at the other side. And here you can see that Trump's percentage of the vote was way lower than no-Brexit's, in their respective polls.
It helps to understand relative values and to have at least a basic understanding of statistics.

It was Pence who finally called in the National Guard after Trump had refused to do so. | | | | | What am I changing? You've lost me there..
Shall I word it differently .. A group of peaceful protestors entered the capitol building, one of the most famous and heavily guarded buildings in the world, just a mile and half away from another of the most fortified buildings in the world where thousands of heavily armed police, guards, troops are stationed. Nobody could have predicted this would happen on such an historic day for the nation.
Was Trump on security duty at the capitol? Couldn't somebody else have maybe called for help? Did everybody just take selfies and wait for Pence to call for help..
look at the selfie pics of David Trone as he fled from the mob .. They're all nut jobs.
It stinks, the whole thing stinks.. The whole election, the whole reporting of it, both sides, all of it.

| | Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got? | Quote: | | | | | I am not justifing anything, just passing along info. I find it a bit funny tbh as we all saw this coming, long before Trump ever took office. | | | | | Not asking you to justify, but share your inside information. If you're referring to the oft discredited photo of the man in the horned helmet (Angeli. the QAnon Shaman) and/or the two men in the selfie in the rotunda, they've all been identified as Q-lunatics, Proud Boys, Black Israelites, etc. I don't think the BLM protestors would bother donning whiteface to show up to trump rally/protest.
But do share any additional info you might have...
You are right about this entire situation being predictable, however.

Jeez, what a pointless argument. The mob that rushed in the Capitol were certainly not peaceful, but far from a dangerous coup-attempting mob or any serious risk to the country. Probably quite a serious risk had they encountered people in suits (congresspeople, staff), as mobs are stupid if anything. I doubt they would habe been able to recognize a democrat from a republican had they met any, and may have hurt them...purposefully or not.
If some of the people were armed, many of them weren't obviously brandishing their guns (I saw pictures of one outdoors, none inside the building). They did break some windows, probably caused some light mob-mentality damage to furniture. Deplorable? Yes. Shameful? Very, completely disgraceful. But a poor attempt at kicking off a civil war. Just some idiots with very low IQ and not much do to.
