Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

I think Biden will win. Trump’s lying is too blatant to ignore

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

If Trump wins again, I’m officially burning my passport & my country deserves what it gets.

Biden as the other option shows just how backwards my country is. Two qualified, articulate candidates (Warren & Sanders), who know exactly what America needs now, & they chose the creepy establishment guy also in mental decline. Not to mention whoever his VP token choice will be, which we know will not be chosen for their experience or qualifications, but for their genitalia & the color of their skin.

Whatever the option, things aren’t looking good. But one thing is clear, Trump needs to get out of office now. Anyone who supports him is either a horrible person or severely lacking in intelligence.

Ha haa. I had to read that a few times. At first, I thought it was MY brain that was glitching.
I have problems when typing on phones, autocorrect hates me.

I had almost commented with the same thing -- that I also am much younger but lose my train of thought sometimes (especially when I haven't been sleeping well).

But in all honestly, I think a lot of those gaffes in those videos of Trump are due to him mispronouncing words as he reads them from a teleprompter. I don't think they're signs of dementia. I do think that he is an egomaniac, though. And coincidentally, egomaniacs are known to be drawn to politics and entertainment. They're also often drawn to social media and tend to ridicule others.
He is not simply an egomaniac, he is a psychopath and pathological liar without a conscience. He is someone who we have seen will not hesitate to use unmarked federal forces against non-violent civilians, both at the Church and in Portland. He is actively trying to sabotage mail-in ballots by saying they are fraudulent and by installing his cronies in positions such as the post office general where they can work against it most effectively. He has talked about not moving the elections and even accepting the election results.

This is how dictatorships start and it's basically how Putin operates, a man who Trump apparently can't do enough to please and for whom even putting bounties on US troops isn't enough to earn a verbal reprimand.

Is she confirmed?
(doesn't really matter I guess as they all think the same anyway, right? )
Yes, they believe in actual democracy and trying to improve the lives of average Americans. Crazy, right?

But it's ok, we know from your many post on the forum in political threads that you have nothing of any actual substance based on any sound logic to say.

If I had to guess I'd say trump wins it again. The Dems couldn't have picked a worse candidate unless they asked Hilary to run again.
I love it how people say things like this without being articulate why. WHY is Biden the "worst candidate"? Explain some good and logical reasons, please.

I meant that African Americans apparently aren't as well known for their diversity of thought as, say, the Latino community.

Do you think that comment signifies that Biden has racist attitudes? Like... really?

Compare it with Trump who is guilty of actual overt racism not only in the things he has said but in his own Trump building rental policies since decades... https://gen.medium.com/trump-keeps-s...s-21774f6749a4

Those are all verifiable quotes that you can look up.

But of course that would be flying in the face of your carefully constructed narrative that ignores all inconvenient facts such as the rampant and unequivocally racist behaviour conducted by the current president, right?

This should be a valid choice. If NOTA wins, then the election rerun with different candidates.

Y´all forgetting the Evangelical vote and for them psycho wingnuts Trump is the second coming. In my humble opinion Americans want god back at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and they will vote for any candidate who promises to deliver.
It doesn´t matter if the candidate is a cheat and a liar and a con-man or adulterer or... whatever.

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

No-brainer, I'd rather take Bush Jr as P, Romney as VP and Palin as Secretary of the State than another 4 years of Trump. He's a psychopath, sociopath, and generally pathetic excuse for a human being who is utterly unfit for any position of political power.

Granted, I can't vote and go back and forth about his chances of another win. Up until the Floyd protests I was sure he would be re-elected. After he threatened deploying the military on his own people (and eventually did), the tides seemed to finally turn. At the moment, I'm not sure. I don't think he'll win a single additional vote from outside his voter base, but who knows, that might just be enough, unless some more Republicans are FINALLY willing to abandon their OTT party loyalty and at the very least not vote for him, even if they don't vote for anyone else.

And I firmly believe the US in its current form would not survive another four years with him, and it would have fundamental effects on the rest of the world.

(now I'm waiting for Tom's groan )

The sad thing is, I can think of many people who would be worse than Biden. And I’m sure that in the election cycles to come , many of them will run.

Why is it that these days you have to be somebody’s family or somebody’s ex VP to be allowed to run. They’re already dreaming of Michelle Obama and Chelsea Clinton. And I’m convinced the GOP is not totally done with the Bush family either. Wien will they wake up to the fact that all this nepotism is hurting them?

That's the craziest aspect of this election - sexism in a proclaimed effort to fight it. But apparently that's Ok because it discriminates males.

But why is being a horrible person relevant? In order to be effective and get the most for your country a president (or other form of leader) needs to be a crook every once in a while. Competence rules.

I think you could add that if you're a crook all the time, you're probably not getting the most for your country.

Stop shaming, with a straight face, people for their political opinion. I think you are a big boy who can face others thinking differently than you.

Aww diddums...after a run of 45 male presidencies and 48 male vice presidencies, it's going to emasculate you to have a woman in there.

Pathetic.

It is so bad, I expect FIFA, widely acknowledged to be the most sexist organisation going, will elect a female leader before we get to 45 male holders of the post, think about that.

Doesn't seem very empowering or authentic if the woman is only getting the position as a token.

Actually comes across as rather patronising.
