Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

The much-hyped AG Graham criminal investigation into the reasons for starting the investigation into Trump and Russian links seems to be turning into a damp squib.

So far there has been only one criminal charge against a low-level FBI lawyer and this allegation was already identified by the Inspector General before AG Graham started his investigation.

So far there is no indication that other criminal charges are close to fruition.
There is also DOJ’s long-established election-year policy of “not doing anything that could influence an election" which would usually inhibit new criminal prosecutions this close to the presidential election.
Of course, AG Barr is Trump's creature so might ignore this policy.

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

Did anyone watch the Live speech from the whitehouse at 9:30pm CET last night? Oh my god... what a car crash, he basically stood there and rambled incoherently for half an hour before leaving. He answered two normal questions, abused journalists, then took one fake question where he rambled and repeated himself semi-incoherently and walked off. He even tried to blame Bob Woodward for not alerting the American public to Coronavirus. The. Mind. Boggles.

The fact is, the magnitude of his lies is simply staggering... and all this after his recent comments about veterans and POW's. He is now, imo, truly screwed.

I notice how some members on this forum have suddenly gone very quiet after the latest leaked tapes proving once and for all that he has lied to the American public. Anyone who defends this man in the face of all of the evidence we have as to his moral and political corruption has no soul or conscience, but then again we already knew that was the case since a good while now.

What's even more astounding s that Trump is so utterly vain and stupid enough to speak top Bob Woodward, a man known for slamming Presidents, and tells him his dirty secrets? Without involving his staff? The monumental stupidity involved in such a decision is almost beyond comprehension.

EDIT - Wow, Fox News (Carlson Tucker) are throwing Senator Lindsey Graham under the bus, claiming it was his fault the president gave those interviews... Lindsey Graham, Trumps main sycophant... LOL!

EDIT EDIT - Oh here goes 'Ol Sleepy Joe Biden again'... doing that whole "coherent and rational human being who actually knows what he's talking about" act...

What this video captures so very well is Bidens almost stupified sense of amazement that someone as careless, irrational and immoral as Trump is the POTUS. He almost struggles to put his feelings into words as he tries to internalize all of these absolutely bat-**** crazy things that Trump has said and done while at the same time not being able to help getting emotional as he ties Trumps comments directly back to his own family and loved one he lost.

This is a man with good sense, heart and compassion.

Chris Cuomo sums up the depth of this madness and betrayal...

This perfectly explains why Trump is the president.

No... it doesn't. You are just taking the post out of context with a nonsensical and unsupported statement.

I think if Trump had said he is worried about the virus, we would still today have a shortage of toilet paper.

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

Honestly, I think though in the end what bothers me the most is the same thing as four years ago. One candidate is being ripped apart for every thing that he says by the media and the other is being treated with kid gloves and sort of dragged to the finish line. It’s just incomprehensible to me that in a modern society, we are treated by the media like the kid in the “Emperor’s new Clothes” story or gaslighted in other words.

I consider myself a republican and vote for those values. I don’t share all conservative viewpoints (I don’t support a death penalty, I don’t support the huge military spending, etc) There are better candidates than Trump, but they have not established themselves on the stage. I could even see myself voting for a centrist if the views were presented well and were consistent with the candidates actions. I will end up voting for Trump as a protest vote. If the media had fair coverage and blasted both candidates (as they both should and need to be criticized), I might have voted 3rd party (Libertarian)

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

Quote:
Democrats are amassing an enormous lead in early voting, alarming Republicans who worry they’ll need to orchestrate a huge Election Day turnout during a deadly coronavirus outbreak to answer the surge.

In North Carolina and Pennsylvania, Democrats have a roughly three-to-one advantage over Republicans in absentee ballot requests.
In Florida the Democratic lead stands at more than 700,000 ballot requests, while the party also leads in New Hampshire, Ohio, and Iowa.

Democrats who didn't vote in 2016 are requesting 2020 ballots at higher rates than their GOP counterparts.
The most striking example is Pennsylvania, where nearly 175,000 Democrats who sat out the last race have requested ballots
Source

Kafkaesque that concerns about exposure to COVID-19 are split by the political party that people belong to. Even despite the publicity that Trump knew the virus was very dangerous, it seems GOP voters will be happy to stand in line and take the risk.
Tragic!

You will vote for a psycopath, pathological liar, sexist and a man accused of multiple rapes... a president who is responsible for many thousands of unnecessary deaths... as a 'protest vote'? Man, with insane logic like that this world is ****ed.

I don't think that journalists/media realise how out of touch they are with the average person or how much people hate them.

Psycopath: Any person who is willing to put his and his family’s life under the intense scrutiny of being the US has psychopathic tendencies

Pathological Liar: Name one President or politician who isn’t

Sexist: Is it sexist to treat man and women equally shitty?

Multiple rapes: From Jefferson to Clinton, again it’s nothing unusual

I think Biden is an empty vessel, who will be fed apple sauce in the lincoln bedroom while some scary people will be running the white house

What is commonly called mainstream media. Fox news or Slate are not really mainstream. «even though they may have more followers than some mainstream media outlets»

You can delude yourself by justifying your choices however you want, I guess it's easier to do so than face the reality that you are actively enabling a budding authoritarian monster with no conscience or ethics like him.

So "sexist" was the wrong failing to pick on then... but being generally shitty with everybody isn't exactly a great attribute (especially for a guy who believes his own publicity as a "dealmaker")

The right does the same thing to Biden and Harris and Pelosi, etc. (as they did to Obama for 8 years) as the left does to Trump. And if you don't see it, it's only because you're on the right. Biden stutters and it's considered "dementia." Biden whispers in someone's ear in a crowded conference hall and it's "sniffing their hair." Pelosi gets a haircut and doesn't wear a mask in a private salon and it's blow up into a frenzy by the right. And meanwhile, Trump supporters fail to acknowledge any of his own bad behavior for what it is. Using his Twitter account to throw tantrums and bully people and to try to demonize anyone who expresses disagreement with him. Lying to the American people about the severity of a virus that has now killed almost 200,000 Americans. The list goes on and on. But I guess some people don't recognize the lies and the bullying, etc. for what it is, because to them, it's apparently just considered normal and perfectly acceptable behavior.

Trump has on many occassions surrounded himself with people of many different affiliations of the republican party. I like that he had Bolton and Mattis among others in the white house who could have pushed him to war with Iran......never happened

Does he delegate a lot, of course? But in general, I have been pleasantly surprised with the choices.

Anyways, these are just my opinions. I feel comfortable with my choices and sleep well. I'm not here to change your or anyone's mind. We could add 10 more pages in discussion of the rights or wrong of either candidate. I just wanted to answer the OPs question and provide a quick reason

Well, Fox News journalists are certainly "in touch" with Donald Trump. In a recent video clip here, Trump expresses that he watched 8 hours of Fox News the night before and does that on a regular basis.

https://www.msnbc.com/11th-hour/watc...ws-91499589861

Between watching 8 hours of Foxs News in the evenings and the amount of time he spends on Twitter, I wonder how he manages to find time to lead a country through a pandemic. Oh, that's right. He doesn't.

I already see it in my imagination: Donald Trump staring for 8 hours straight at a news channel, fully focused and ignoring everything going on around him. This must be true.
