Great idea?
Actually they need to impose social distancing seeing as neither Trump, nor any of his family, had enough respect for the audience by wearing masks.

I suggest Trump at his money-losing golf course and Biden somewhere in New England.

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

Biden was obviously joking when he said that. That's why he laughed after he said it. Watch it again.

But of course, people might not realize that if they lack basic logic and critical thinking skills and/or are perceiving it through the distorted lens of their cognitive bias.

Absolutely. And I'd say it's the latter, in most cases. See Urs Max's posts, where he tries to get himself all indignant about Joe Biden "insulting and personally attacking" Trump by simply stating the well-known fact that Trump is a liar. Any level, unbiased observer can see that, but to those with an agenda, Biden is the evil "hypocrite" while Trump is... what? A free spirit, probably.

Yeah, I figured it was probably the latter.
I can't read Urs Max's posts because I had blocked him a few months ago after he tried to threaten me with a (quote) "real fight" for no logical reason.

Biden was the first to interrupt (unsuccessfully, but still) at 6:58 and 7:15 (I wouldn't call the injunction at 6:48 an interruption) as well as the first to insult and personally attack with his
"Here's the deal: The fact is that everything he's saying so far is simply a lie. I'm not here to call out his lies [even though he does exactly that], everybody knows he's a liar."
that started at 13:14 in the Fox News clip on YT.

Stay out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat, and don't try to claim the moral higher ground if you're the first to abandon it. You (Biden) might prove to be the hypocrit some say you are.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Even if Biden interrupted first in this instance, we all know Trump interrupts all the time, as soon as he hears something he doesn't like. He doesn't ever wait his turn. He interrupted far more than Biden, and even ignored and talked over the moderator - who happens to be a well-respected journalist from his fave Fox news!

Telling Trump he's a liar isn't an attack in the least. It's a statement of fact, and Trump knows it but doesn't care.

Yeah, I fully realized that I wasn't dealing with a rational human being at that point and that the best way to handle it was to block him. He clearly has some... issues.

Maybe I should have offered to meet him in front of the Migrolino on Langstrasse for a showdown? I'll bring some brass knuckles and some nunchucks.

I don't know why do you consider this an insult. For every sane person, even Trump supporters, this is an absolute fact. It's like my friends calling me ugly. It's not an insult, it's an obvious fact.

Here is the entire quote from the Associated Press.

Wray did not dispute in his testimony Thursday that antifa activists were a serious concern, saying that antifa was a “real thing” and that the FBI had undertaken “any number of properly predicated investigations into what we would describe as violent anarchist extremists,” including into individuals who identify with antifa.

But, he said, “It’s not a group or an organization. It’s a movement or an ideology.”

I think that last bit is important.
I was only replying to the stupid claim that Antifa is "mythical" and "non-existent"

Actually, it isn't a stupid claim at all. It's a reference to the fact that it's not a physical, organized entity. It only exists as an ideology -- that being anti-fascism. And I don't know why anyone would have a problem with someone being against fascism. Hitler was a fascist, as was Mussolini.

Here's a pretty good article about the origins of fascism, including the more recent resurgence of fascist ideologies:

What to Know About the Origins of Fascism’s Brutal Ideology
https://time.com/5556242/what-is-fascism/

“The main way the fascists got to power was by killing off and intimidating what was the largest and most popular party, the Socialist Party,” Ben-Ghiat explains. “Squadrists — terrorists who would descend upon towns in trucks, uniformed in black shirts — had knives and they killed thousands of people in the years 1919 to 1922. The killing went on after Mussolini became prime minister.” ...

... "So, Ben-Ghiat says, asking how fascism has changed during its century of existence is perhaps the wrong question.

“It’s more striking what hasn’t changed —the hyper-nationalism, the leader cult, the idea that this is a leader who is going to save us, the fear of white population decline, anti-feminism, anti-left, things like that,” she says. “None of those things have changed.”

No, Hitler was a Nazi.

Hardly the same thing, nor ideology.

It exists as an ideology and a movement. To suggest that it's "non-existent" is stupid.

Probably because they just deem everyone who disagrees with them to be fascists who deserve to be attacked

Or maybe because they understand what fascism is and how it comes to power.

There are people who disagree with me, but I don't call them fascists. I think most people who claim to be against "antifa" don't really understand what fascism is or what being "anti-fascist" means.

And by the way, I've seen plenty of people on your side throwing around the term "socialist" and "communist" when it doesn't apply.

Nice piece here on the parallels between Trump and the rise of Fascism in the 30s. Particularly how much Trump takes from the fascist playbook.

Also an interesting body count between the extreme right / white supremacists and anti-fascists. As of 8 May 2020, 329 - 0.

https://www.theguardian.com/commenti...d-boys-fascism

Probably better for KKFull Circle to not read this, might updset him/her

Oh and there still is no such organisation as Antifa.
