I canít help but that choice swings things into President Trumps favour a little. The threat of applying the 25th Amendment to Joe Biden could be too big to stomach for many voters! Also, not much to offer the independents and ďanyone but TrumpĒ Republicans.

Really? Who (of the final candidates pool) do you think would have been more appealing to centrist voters?

With unerring skill, Trump tweeted this today just before all the US major stock market indices crashed down

As I forecast Trump already tweeted an attack against Harris, waste of time.
Nobody is interested in the VP; when did anyone ever mention Pence?

If Biden is smart he will have Harris touring around saying all sorts of provocative things so drawing Trump's fire.

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

I do think that people are fully aware that Biden could very well not make it even through the first term.

But I do agree that it's a very....challenging...situation for Trump.

Towards November, the economy is likely going to further deteriorate and with no vaccine in sight yet (apart from the one from Russia...), things could very well go downhill pretty fast.

Probably because Trump wasn't demented and looking unable to see out the term.

Nothing can help Trump; he has dug himself too deep.

Probably Trump will waste a lot of time attacking Harris forgetting Biden is his opponent and the one he needs to beat.
Presuming Biden makes it as far as November.

Former Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich will speak at the upcoming Democratic National Convention in support of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Wow! That is a major plus for Joe especially as the latest polls show him leading in Ohio.
now here we have a good republican ,he should have run for president.

The politicians are there to represent the American people and their age or race shouldn't restrict them from being able to do so.
Isn't that the point? Wealthy white old men aren't exactly representative of all the American people. Even cutting out the wealthy bit (that I just added in) doesn't widen the net much. But a black-Indian young woman on the POTUS/VPOTUS ticket ropes in a lot more demographics. I'm sure millions of Americans will find Kamala Harris much more relatable and representative than her white youngish male opponent.

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

Oh no! Kamilla Harris as Biden's VP??? Geez...don't know what to say here. I don't think this choice will help Biden's efforts. I seem to recall that she implied that Biden was "a racist" during the debates. And then, came to the defense of those women who accused Biden of sexual assault/harassment. And now, it is all under the carpet and all is good since she has been chosen as his running mate? The next 4 months should be interesting indeed!

Bloomberg is even older than Biden. Klobuchar had withdrawn in June.

Looks to me Harris is a relatively safe choice, no obviously dangerous issues that Trump can attack on and make this about someone else than himself.

Re: Trump or Biden .Who you got?

Very happy with Kamala being chosen as VP, I have watched her in several Congress hearings and she at least seems like a decent human being who cares about people. This is what the USA needs.

The fact she is a strong woman and black is a bonus that will hopefully really pull in some votes to get the Dumb Meatsack out of the Whitehouse.

EDIT - OMFG - Trump was called out on why he is issuing executive orders for things that are ALREADY law under the Affordable Healthcare Act and this was his response...

"Just as a double safety net and to let people know that the Republicans care about affordable healthcare". Nothing screams "WTF" like the Republicans trying to dismantle the ACA (which is what the poor most need in the world) and then re-introduce it... under their own label, of course.

How utterly humiliating, and proof that this man is a hideously deceptive and a deeply insecure pathological liar who is using the most hare-brained tactics to try and fool the American people. Sadly, it probably works on many of his intellectually-challenged voters!

There is no further proof of Joe Biden's level of decency and character that he has brought someone in as his VP who really challenged and confronted him in some debates. That's how things should be.

Trump would never, even for a second, contemplate bringing anyone in who had ever threatened him, so petty and insecure is he.

Iím thrilled he chose Harris.

Trump is now going to use those press conferences as a campaign ad for re-election. How about an executive order that speeding is against the law? Or one for not paying your taxes? Trump will be using more of these tactics in the future.

If a demented old man makes a robust, well-thought through and frankly, courageous decision, then it probably means he's not demented. Well done, there's hope Trump's months in office are numbered!

He does executive orders so it looks like he’s actually doing something. Also, I think his advisors have very little legislative finesse, so issuing orders is their forte. Anyway, Congress is completely stalled to inaction. But his executive orders are ill thought out, often difficult to implement and just more baloney.

And the sad thing is, even if Biden wins, unless there is a major overhaul in the senate and perhaps even the house, more constipation of action.

But I’m fine with Harris. The truth is, people are going to find fault with anyone.

I agree with that. But this might be an unusual pattern as they have Trump now. The battle is not over yet but I doubt America is ready to vote for a (black) woman. And Biden's choice for his VP means exactly this imho. Time will tell.
