Fake news?
I went to twitter to check out the guy, found nothing like that on his feed. He mostly retweets stuff.

He has about 1,200 followers right now. I expect that will go up.

Iím a little worried about all the people he has been face-to-face with since Wednesday. Including Joe, Mitch, Pence, that supreme court nominee, and others.
We can only hope.

That was my favourite bit of the debate: his hand movements yanking Melania to give him a hug but her just ignoring him. At 0:26...

Knowing her, she was probably worried that it would mess up her makeup.

COVID-19 is a virus that attacks the respiratory system, which can cause severe inflammation once it progresses, thus making it very difficult for people to get enough oxygen, which in turn can result in numerous other problems, such as organ failure. Why would you think that people who die while having the COVID virus do not die "FROM" the virus?
The 34th death in Malta was from someone in Hospital in their 80's who tested NEGATIVE 2 days before death, after death they decided he was a COVID death as he was now positive. He died with COVID rather than from COVID

The picture shows latest data June 6. It would be interesting to see something more current. Maybe it's worse, maybe it's better. I honestly don't know.

Will you get re-tested for antibodies at some point, fmf? In your shoes I'd be curious if they've left my system already or are still lingering around after all these months.

Yes, I had antibodies after 6 months, it's almost 9 months now so worth a retest. Having dinner next week with someone who works for a lab next week, I will ask her if she can take my blood. I had the Roche test in France, her lab uses the Abbott test.

Are you saying that he didn't die due to COVID or complications from having COVID? That's what is usually meant when someone says that someone died "from" something.

Also, why are you using one person / one case of a person who had tested negative two days before dying to try to prove your point? It really doesn't make any sense. I'm tired, though... and I need a coffee.

Edit: I *think* I see what you mean now, when you had written earlier that "Covid deaths will be in the 1-2% range of all deaths for the year, thats people who died 'WITH' rather than 'FROM' Covid." So you meant that more people actually die due to COVID than while actually still testing positive for it (?).

Seems you missed that the graph is hospitalisations per 100,000 POPULATION. Not per Covid infections.

I just replied to a post.
And got your reply totally wrong.

Chance of needing a hospitalisation was as high as 20% back in March and is now somewhat lower, probably around 7%. But given Trump is 74 and fat his risk is at least 5 times the average, possibly even higher if he has other factors we don't know about.

In Swizerland, it's 9% total, less than 1% now.

Was looking for US numbers, could be that's a bit high..

Actually if you look at the Swiss weekly reports it's nearer 3% over the last few weeks...the one day you picked is unusually low.

Re: Trump and first lady test positive for coronavirus

I bet the percentage of people requiring hospitalization in the US is higher due to a number of factors such as more people in the US being low on vitamin D*, having no healthcare (insurance) and there being a high rate of obesity in the US.

*Having been born and raised in the US, it was my experience, at least, that vitamin D supplements were never encouraged or recommended there as they are here.

Considering how often he doesn't wear a mask (which appears to be most of the time), I wonder how many people he's infected. He may have already been infected during the debate a few nights ago. And yet there he was, on stage, making fun of Biden for often wearing a mask.
Just read (Guardian ticker) he is showing mild symptoms - indicating an infection at least 5 days ago and possibly infectious for at least the last 3 days.
