But god forbid I bring up Mr. Biden getting sick after not wearing a mask all over the middle east | | | | | "resident breakfast food"? from a Chinese fruit!
Pot Kettle black
At last, you join the mask-wearing team.
Edit: Excellent programme yesterday by Jan 6 committee on Trump's dereliction of duty.

I don't think anyone was being cagey in that thread and using lawyer speak......seems they were all one-upping each other in expressing their joy and anticipation at what could happen.

Being overjoyed that someone has a potentially life-threatening illness, cheering at the news. However you are correct the words don't exactly match what I said and I have therefore completely misrepresented the essence of the post | | | | | But you keep telling us it is not "a life-threatening illness" and that only 0.000x% actually die.
Anyway back to the topic, it is a great shame and not understandable that the Dems do not promote Biden's huge success with the bipartisan infrastructure deal. | Quote: | | | | Only 24% of voters think the bill is law.
Meanwhile, a plurality (37%) says they “don’t know” the status of the bill,
30% say “it is still being worked on in Congress but isn’t law yet,”
and 9% believe it is not being worked on in Congress and will not be passed.
Underlining this tragedy when voters hear about the BIF’s basic provisions, they are overwhelmingly supportive.
After hearing a description of the package, support for it reaches 80% with all voters and exceeds 70% across urban, suburban, smaller metros, and rural areas. | | | | | | The following 2 users would like to thank marton for this useful post: | |

| | Re: Will Biden be a good President? | Quote: | | | | | No, but the Fed screwed up putting the brakes on US inflation early. They fueled asset price inflation for 15 years. Now they look at rate hikes that may cause recession. And real wages are still falling.
But I am sure Americans will take great comfort from the fact that inflation in Argentina is worse. | | | | | Currently, the US is really pumping up military armament manufacturing due to supplying Ukraine which is usually a contraindication of recession.

Here we go again. In 2021, when inflation was starting, the White House downplayed it, called it inflationary, and now have moved on to blaming Putin.
Now, with a GDP report that likely will report a GDP contraction coming out Thursday and a an already negative Q1, the white house is firing up the spin again and trying to sell that this would not mean a recession… https://www.whitehouse.gov/cea/writt...n-a-recession/
Never mind that it has been agreed by all kinds of people in a bipartisan way that 2 consecutive quarters of negative growth indicate a recession.
Very coincidental that they are trying to play games a few months before the elections. How far do they have to destroy the economy (by underplaying a real risk) just to maintain power?

People will feel the inflation and I think mist news outlets will stick to the 2 quarter rule.

I hope people realize what a bunch of assholes run the GOP. And hopefully Trump declares soon - it would be stupid of him, but maybe his ego can't let him stay cool.

I’m in the US right now. It’s very polarized politically and the gap between the haves and have nots is widening. Right wingers are gaining momentum and I feel the Wild West lives again as crazy shooters in malls are shot by other customers while smaller shops are left to rampant shoplifting in order to avoid violent encounters.
I was on Mt Howard in Joseph, Oregon, a few days ago and witnessed a young father come into the mountain restaurant with a knife on one side of his belt and a pistol and halter on the other side all while wearing spurs. He could barely sit comfortably due to all of his “gear”.
God bless America where the right to personal freedom is often more important than respecting others.

At the same time you have cases like Jose Alba. A NY bodega clerk who was attacked by the boyfriend of an outraged entitled customer and killed the attacker in self defense. He was charged with murder (charge now dropped due to public outcry) while the customer who started the entire thing and returned with the boyfriende to take revenge for the failed purchase walked free despite knifing the clerk three times.

We’d often take a two or three week road trip, camping and such too. This summer she mentioned that she’s glad we’re not there. She’s older and watching the news more and really feels confused as why it’s “only in America and the Ukraine that folks are getting shot so much.”

But your problem is seeing a guy who by your account was just strapped but not threatening anyone.
