For the politically biased;
This was a disability committee and she’s doing an image description of her appearance for those who are blind or have low vision.

Some empathy for the visually challenged would be positive.
For visually impaired people that wonder her clothes?

And 8.70 in Switzerland. Will Ignazio Cassis be a good president?
No, he is very incompetent and his presidency has been a disaster for Switzerland

He is the most unpopular BR/CF!

But at least he isn't fond of the EU

No place for nuances in your world views, isn't it.

Yeah, let's hope his tenure will be not more than a year and he won't be reelected then. Tired of the disaster that is Switzerland.

Never said the Germans don’t have a sense of humour – what they lack is “impeccable taste”

This is a disability committee and she’s doing an image description of her appearance for those on the committee (and others) who are blind or visually impaired, all the committee members did this.

It’s known as an accessibility protocol which is common in the UN, the academic community, and similar and not something to mock.
Apparently from the quality of the replies to the original tweet, it is not so common in the US.

Luckily for us the stupid biased people are very quick to identify themselves so we know who to avoid.

A little further in the thread there was one letting everyone know she had a see through mask so people could see her lips move

In a nutshell why the Dems will get destroyed come the midterms* the team running the President have let the fringe weirdos have too much public influence.

*IF Donald Trump doesn't announce beforehand, however at this rate, I'm not sure it will make too much of a difference

Your posts about this particular incident went from ignorant to hateful. Image descriptions are becoming common-place these days, although obviously (as per usual) it's taking the US a little longer to catch on.

Disability inclusion is a severe problem. If it makes people 'fringe weirdos' for wanting to make disabled people feel more included in society, then I say bring on the weirdos. I'll take weird (and inclusive) over hateful any day.

I will never understand this attitude. I had to give a lecture last year, and one of my slides used a chart showing red and green stats overlapping. I was informed that I had someone in my class who had visual problems, so I changed the chart to make it visually easier for them. It did not impact the findings, my lecture, or anyone else in the class, but it made life a little easier for that one person. There is quite literally NO downside to being inclusive.

So to extend your argument, anyone who doesn't introduce themselves with their preferred pronouns, gender, what they're wearing is hateful?

And no, it's not becoming common-place at all, hence the reaction to the video.

It is something to mock. If under given context this is important, forget about “pronouns” and clearly state that you identify as female, male or any of the increasingly sprawling denominations …. If your public sexuality it that important to you, why hide behind pronouns? Call a spade a shovel and move on.

yeah no. as misguided as some might thing the effort is, it is a good thing for society overall to try to integrate all participants by acknowledging disabilities like visual or hearing impairments.

More of a challenge to integrate people suffering from empathy deficit disorder, cognitive-behavioral therapy is commonly recommended.

i fully agree with that, but there are better ways then to introduce yourself by the color of your clothes. this is like introducing yourself as a baritone to deaf people.
