Twitter should be a fun place next week😆 | | | | | Don't be disappointed if it takes longer than that before there are any visible changes, such business takeovers take a while to be implemented.
An interesting question is whether Trump will rejoin Twitter and so destroy Truth Social which was planned to provide many $ millions for Trump.
Anyway, the planned merger between TRUTH Social parent Trump Media & Technology Group and blank-check company Digital World Acquisition Corp is still delayed while under SEC investigation so the $ millions may never appear for him.

By the way..."banks" led by Morgan Stanley are still working on the 13 billion USD loan to buy twitter.
It will be a fun story because Mr. Musk sold the narrative of "twitter is too expensive s**t". And now he's selling the narrative of lend me money to "buy this valuable business". Specially after telling everyone he doesn't care about economics at all. Kinda hard to get loans with that story.
I'm specially thrilled by money managers under fiduciary duty that may lend money to Mr. Musk. What is their story or argument to lend money to a guy telling buying twitter it's not about making money?

That said, even after the purchase he'll still be well off.

I sense a lot of love here.
Truth is, both left and right happily support cancelling what they don't like while making a fuzz about the other side limiting "my first amendment rights". The fun fact is that the 1st amendment (and similar rights in other civilized countries) only say that the government shall not infringe your rights to free speech - but it does not protect you from the consequences of exercising that right.

The left wing developed it and the right wing has now decided to play the game. Yes, you can be cancelled for your democratically protected free speech. One can argue that the consequences of that have been dramatically increased in the last decades. Today, a relatively small number of people can decide to cancel you and ruin your reputation in the entire country, if not the world. Previously, if you made a mistake, you could relocate and start over. America is a country of second chances and redemption…..today though a mistake is likely to follow you for your whole life. Especially for young people who might make a foolish mistake that physically harms no one, this will harm their career prospects, personal life, and health for the rest of their life.

Elon has fired the CEO and the CFO as well as the person who decided to permanently ban President Trump.

| | Re: Cancel Culture | Quote: | | | | | Yes, you can be cancelled for your democratically protected free speech. | | | | | So let s have some examples of where a person's protected right to free speech has been denied by the judiciary? You don't get to define which rights are protected and that means you have no right to inflect your opinions on others, require private businesses etc to facilitate you and so on.
As far as I can see Cancel Culture is a load of nonsense. Demanding that others be forced to listen to you, facilitate you in their private events etc and then getting all up set about it is just pure crap. I have yet to hear of a single occasion of a person being denied their protected rights by a single member of the judiciary.

But that's enough about the bible - lets get back to Harry Potter.

He fired the CEO and CFO and person monitoring posts and banning users. So, who's the MOD now?
I guess we need a lot of popcorn. Right now the pinned tweet of Russia Ministry of Foreign Affairs is behind a "false and misleading information label". So, the options:
- Do not remove this label: the bird is not free.
- Remove the label: working for Russia. https://twitter.com/mfa_russia |
