| | Re: Cancel Culture | Quote: | | | | | The reason for the delay in the release of the rest of the files has been given. Apparently there was a mole at Twitter a former FBI counsel called Jim Baker of all people. It is reported that he was vetting the files (probably removing all references to the FBI). Anyway Jim Baker has now been escorted from the building. Probably another "nothingburger" https://twitter.com/mtaibbi/status/1600243405841666048 | | | | | LOL!
And you believe this dumb story claiming the delay was due to the incompetence of Twitter management.
The elephant in this room is the claim Jim Baker was fired yesterday but "part 2" is still not released
Looking forward to dumb excuse part 2.

Online this attitude just leads to stifled debate and echo chambers. Discussing ideas doesn't equal being offensive.
| | | | | You don't seem to get that some 'ideas' are incredibly offensive and it's pretty clear when people bring them into a conversation, it is not for want of 'discussion' but to push their agenda.
By all means bring them to the table, but if they are abhorrent, expect some backlash.

| | Re: Cancel Culture | Quote: | | | | | We're mixing up being polite (i.e. not saying that your friend has a big nose, or that his wife has put on 10kg since you last saw them) with the exchange of ideas.
Self-censorship is ultimately the aim of the cancel cultists. If you fear as you said a punch on the nose or some activist calling up your boss then you allowing others to control the narrative. Authoritarian governments have been using this tactic for years to silence journalists through fear.
Online this attitude just leads to stifled debate and echo chambers. Discussing ideas doesn't equal being offensive. | | | | | Not sure if politeness or pragmatism. I can do business and sometimes exchange ideas with people I disagree a lot. I've met people more polite than me unable to do the same. So, it's not only politeness.
Not sure if self-control leads to stifled debate and echo chambers, or simply to the nice chat we're having.

I recommend you google Thomas Beatie.

| | Re: Cancel Culture Seems the New York Post has not only turned anti-Trump but also anti-Musk. | Quote: | | | | A trio of former Twitter employees are taking legal action against the Elon Musk-led company – alleging the billionaire “job killer” stiffed them on promised severance benefits following a sweeping round of layoffs.
The former employees — Helen Sage-Lee, Adrian Trejo Nuñez and Amir Shevat – have tapped celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom and filed individual arbitration claims against Twitter. | | | | | Edit: Bloom asserted that Musk had broken an “enforceable promise” requiring severance benefits to match those offered under previous management.
The attorney said the laid-off workers are being “deprived” of lost benefits including prorated bonus payments and vested stock options.

A recent study of historical DNA shows the number of genes that make up the Y chromosome is slowly declining, who knows what the future may hold.

Actually one does wonder why men have nipples unlike the males of most species, what does Nature have in store for us
To quote my favourite Swiss, Einstein "No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong."
In this case Hermaphrodites are sufficient to disprove the theory "Biologically the border is actually quite clear, and binary. Uterus or no uterus."
I was going to post "old fashioned" theory but since the first medically recorded case of a person with both a working uterus and a working penis was almost 200 years ago it did not seem appropriate.

As for the actual example man mummy you gave, it is clear that he is biologically female, had surgery to get a dick but kept her uterus.

In humans, there is a very narrow biological border between the sexes. | | | | | I just did a 30 s google search. Thomas Beatie was surgically modified, got treated with hormons and was born as Tracy Lagondino, a woman with female reproductive organs??
You want to use him to counter the statement that men can't get pregnant? Well thats what I would call unscientific.
