It explains that transgender youth and gender dysphoria have existed for a very long time, but due to the rise of the internet, transgender youth have been able to connect with one another and that has helped them to become more comfortable with coming forward about it. It has also become something that is no longer treated as or considered a mental illness but instead has become something that more and more parents and doctors have accepted, which has led to more transgender kids being comfortable with no longer trying to hide or suppress their identity as being transgender.

Oh, yeah, that is some sort of classism that still survives in some places (Austria, Germany and Czechia as far as I know), but it's also a term of endearment in other places. I used to call "Mr. Professor" or "Ms. Professor(ess)" (sorry, it's a suffix that doesn't exist in the English language) long after graduating when I met them occasionally. A sign we didn't forget their contribution to who we are as persons today. I mean honest respect not some social norms we have to abide by otherwise....big offense. Not.

The reason there are more trans youth is combination factors, a junk ideology being pushed onto kids from a young age (including on the internet), exploitation autistic and vulnerable children, homophobic parents who can't accept that their children might be gay, doctors on the make, social services and civil servants who don't want to be accused of being a "transphobe" and worst of all, group think.

When the rise in trans youth and gender ideology is held up to any sort of scrutiny it falls apart completely. It's exactly for this reason that Mermaids childrens trans charity is now under investigation in the UK and the Tavistock trans clinic in England is closing.
