Well, Trump gave his CPAC talk and it was full of lies, as expected. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/02/28/p...eck/index.html |

Exacting revenge on "disloyal" GOP lawmakers will not bring in swing voters, he needs to offer attractive policies.
Putting loyalists in primaries against "disloyal" incumbents will divert resources from campaigning against the Dems plus likely giving the Dems the opportunity to collect new arguments from the fallout from the GOP side.

Happy to educate you.
According to their website, the Republican National Committee (RNC) policy is to support incumbents to be reelected so avoiding wasting money and giving the Dems free arguments to use against them.

Saw a great post on Twitter from Laura Bassett...
"This week Senator Ted Cruz screamed "freedom" on a stage literally shaped like a Nazi symbol at a conference where attendees are worshipping a giant golden statue of Trump, and this is all just pretty normal now. Still trying to wrap my head around it, I guess."
I am also still trying to wrap my head around it all too - somehow a Cheney is a goodie and I just wish these idiots would go away.

"Different to" is OK. It's less common in BrE than "different from", but it's just a variation common in some dialects of English.
Both are immeasurably better than "different than", though... That AmE variation makes about as much sense as "I could care less". It seems to suggest that one thing is "more different" than the other, to which it is being compared.

FBI Director Christopher Wray told lawmakers on the Senate Judiciary Committee today Tuesday that officials have classified the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by former President Trump's supporters as domestic terrorism.
"That attack, that siege, was criminal behavior, plain and simple, and it’s behavior that we, the FBI, view as domestic terrorism".
Wray said "Citizens from around the country have sent us more than 270,000 digital media tips. Some have even taken the painful step of turning in their friends or their family members,” he said.
The FBI has so far charged more than 300 people and is still investigating.

So, apparently Trump and the Missus were vaxxed against Corona quietly sometime in January. He could have encouraged his cult to receive the vax, but didn’t. https://www.rollingstone.com/politic...nuary-1135185/ | The following 2 users would like to thank ennui for this useful post:

Unusual Wall Street Journal editorial blaming Trump for loss of the House, Senate, and White House, usually the WSJ supports the GOP. | Quote: | | | | The Grievances of Trump Past
If he was so great politically for the GOP, why is the party now out of power?
He lost to Joe Biden, the old Democratic warhorse, by seven million votes. He also lost five states he carried in 2016, even Georgia.
If 2020 was so fabulous, why are Republicans shut out of power up and down Pennsylvania Avenue? They have zero influence over the $1.9 trillion spending extravaganza they rightly deplore.
Democrats are slowly erasing the Trump legacy on taxes, deregulation, energy, education, and so much more.
Expecting an incumbent president whose approval rating never rose above 50% and mostly languished in the low forties to win a second term was never realistic.

Another State Department cult member. | Quote: | | | | The FBI arrested Federico Klein, one of former President Trump’s appointees for State Department, on Thursday in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Samatha Shero, a spokesperson for the FBI’s Washington Field Office, confirmed the arrest.
Klein’s arrest is the first known instance of one of Trump’s political appointees facing criminal charges in connection with the riot.
