The Swiss COVID-19 project aims to allow people who have been vaccinated and also those who have recovered from COVID-19 and those who have tested negative to apply for a forgery-proof certificate (in accordance with Art. 6a of the COVID-19 Act).
The time scale for this process is not yet defined.

Switzerland is planning to start issuing "Covid Certificates" (Mr Berset mentioned several times that it won't be a passport, but a certificate) from mid June onwards.

This was what I got in Neuchâtel after tte first dose, the second one is pretty much the same but with all the other bits filled in.
It clearly says Switzerland on it and is very handily written in both French and English.

I was asked when I had my first jab yesterday if I agreed to have my information sent to some place that was gathering and monitoring the information.

After second jab they will complete my yellow book but he also told me that they are developing the covid passport and by consenting that would become automatic when available.

We appreciate you posting official info, just please provide a source so that we can read and verify the info.

I hope this "COVID certificate" is in a modern electronic format, because I am not carrying around a physical copy on my person 24/7!

Probably not (according to the same press conference), at least not for this year. They are planning on using the current vaccine booklet for now (man, I don't even know where mine is!!!).

Unfortunately my country isn't very digital friendly (yet!).

This will grow quite quickly beyond our borders. We are going to need something that will be accepted by immigration authorities and by companies in other countries.

IATA has developed an app for this purpose and, I believe, Swiss is testing it on its Zürich-London Heathrow route.

The challenge is going to be the ability to ensure the person possessing the certificate (in whatever format) is actually that person. No problem when travelling as you’ve also got your passport/ID. But you are going to need both when you go to the cinema, the shops or the bar.

I always have my Swiss ID with me but not everyone does.

You will be relieved to know that that it's likely that all those vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine, will have
their paper vaccine passport or certificate or smartphone App verifying this in Russian Cyrillic as below:

According to a German newspaper I read, we must wait for two weeks after the second jab.

However many people complain about a two-tier society I do not see how it could be stopped, there are simply so many places and activities that will adopt such rules.

It will be a balancing act between constitutionality and daily life.
I don't know the German constitution but I seem to remember they usually shoot first and ask later. (Not so long ago Merkel apologized for not knowing the German law well enough to make her rules accordingly ).
While the Swiss government keeps an eye on all aspects constantly (definitely is forced to do so by Nationalrat, Ständerat and the people).

However, this is gonna be a hell of a challenge to get the perfect legal solution.

Just imagine you have been vaccinated with the Sputnik or the Sinovac vaccine, and you still can't travel.

I’ve been here over ten years and don’t have one either.

I'm here for decades and never had one. I always had and have the international yellow one.
I see no point to have a blue Swiss one if it is mainly needed to travelling.
