Re: Duke of Edinburgh has died

Oh no. Sad news indeed. May he rest in peace

I always admired the marriage the Queen and him had. They went through so much together and it was obvious that they loved each other. very much.

I am sad for her Majesty

Like Denis Thatcher he was always in his wife's shadow but no doubt a huge support.

Sad news, any consort has difficult moments but he always had a good sense of humour.

Johnson could not even be bothered to comb his hair to make the announcement- what a lack of respect for HRH- and a terrible image for the UK.

His hair is more of a mess than normal because hairdressers have been closed. I expect if he brushes it it might look worse.

Very sad about the DofE

I would agree that BoJo, the fat disheveled clown, is not very high on the UK image promotional scale. But hey, that’s where a constitutional monarchy/FPTP/Brexit can end up in – democracy! What’s not to love?
Apologies if I get triggered by BoJo – while I don’t subscribe to any monarchy, Prince Philipp had a certain sarcastic something - RIP

LOL, I know you're kidding but I had to check, to find out that's the British Queen's husband.
What a peasant I am.
Or maybe simply totally ignorant of any political system that is not direct democracy.

However, RIP, Sir, Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark
(I do believe now is the time to remember he was a person of his own, no?).
