I'm new here around and I see it's so hard to charm highly demanding EF members and win their love It has been always like this ? or it's just covid

Derailed thread can be also seen as a digression or something like Art of Corax , so once we put some fancy name to it, I suppose , this thread will be acceptable for the snobs
Three huge monumental issues how this civilisation is failing in the 21st century
1. covid issues
2. Gender , plurigender, half genders, 35 genders to choose from... mix&match genders , meshup genders etc etcc...
3. Believing how there's Left wing , Right Wing ...democracy ..etc..

Sometimes I think it's all about the same, people who want to succeeds no matter how with minimal effort. Why to work your way out to the top like a donkey if you can outsmart it. Gender swap can help that in many paths from changing the assessment category, increasing your chances to be popular, to having more opportunities to have sex There are many individual motives but all are the same, to get to the goal the easiest way.
In some sense I like it. There are so many absurd privileges so now there's a hack, I can declare myself black lesbian woman (despite my skin remaing as it is, white type) and reap all the benefits, woohoo!! | | | | | You really are worried about these things?
I would say you need to inform yourself more, but then that would be futile.
Going after minorities on an anonymous public forum doesn't make anyone look very smart or particularly brave. Maybe it's an "age thing", I take it most people here belong to certain demographics.
Do carry on, since it seems a very safe space for that, but don't expect everyone else to share your opinions or your anxieties. Same goes for OP. | Quote: | | | | | Is it funny? It will only discourage many girls many of whom already have confidence issues from taking part in competitive sport. Womens world track cycling has already been wrecked by strapping Rachel "Rhys" McKinnon winning and taking part.
One solution: set up a separate trans category in sport but allow CIS men and women and trans folk to compete. The trans women may get a taste of their own medicine when they have CIS men competing with them | | | | |
Confidence issues in sport women? Because of the few potential trans women. With all respect, if you think women lack confidence in sports you're very much mistaken.

2. Gender , plurigender, half genders, 35 genders to choose from... mix&match genders , meshup genders etc etcc...
3. Believing how there's Left wing , Right Wing ...democracy ..etc.. | | | | | I certainly wouldn't list everything as failing.
1. Covid issues: Governments are doing the best they can to find strategies to make their population safe again. The decisions aren't always perfect but in countries with high vaccination rates, deaths are down.
2. Genders: Most of us still identify as male and female but society has now admitted and is adapting to those who feel they are something different. It's going to take time to figure it out but we've made great strides in accepting different genders.
3. I don't believe we're failing in government but specific choices, such as Trump and Boris, certainly show a leaning towards right wing thinking. I personally hope the pendulum will swing back to more middle ground, which may already be happening as in the case of Biden's election.
4. When hope becomes buried in an overabundance of cynisim and negativity, it begins to suffocate and eventually die. Speak to those who consider suicide and they'll tell you how the dark extinguishes any light leading to any lack of hope for a better future. It's also why the current atmosphere of this forum saddens me. It's negative and demeaning.
Wake up, MC and FMF. Your constant thanks on posts supporting cynical and morally questionable statements empower the current negativity on this board. The shake up has allowed a dark shadow to creep over this forum, suffocating positivity and nurturing energy for engaging discussions.

I'd choose a guy anytime ,no way I'd take the chance to pay and some whinging woman comes over and cant lift this cant do that , would try to make a drama , if she cooks she'll start crying while chopping the 2nd onion, while with a man , most likely it'll go smooth and it'll be efficient. I wouldn't necessarily close this thread, but I'd certainly take it off the front page (and probably move it to jokes/funnies). It's not a good look unless you're planning to drive engagement from postmodernist wingnuts. (Is there any other kind?)
I sometimes recommend EF threads to people (like the interesting vaccine side-effects one which I showed to someone the other day). I'll be more reluctant to do that if the front page gets filled up with too many obviously trolling threads.

But the title is somehow misleading. Yes, some men are better than women in what was traditionally assigned to them, but I wouldn't generalise. The thread is funny from this POV, I had never had problems in admitting OH cooks better than me. For instance.

Speakeron, why are you underestimating your friends? How do you know what they really like ? ) one can appreciate Dostoyevski but can enjoy beavis&butthead ,borat etc.
ask them to give you their phone so you can look into their search history ... to see how flawless are they
Then again, I still cant see what's so shocking about this thread? It started with news like " man who went through a hormone therapy now competes in weightlifting in women's category" , then some digressions, jokes, all good banter . so therapeutic |

And what I do know is that they're not too interested in posts which look like they come from a five-year-old. At the very least stop putting a space before a comma (or any punctuation mark); this is the English forum, after all.
There's nothing shocking about the thread; it's the standard stuff you can see all over the internet. The jokes are fine (I'm as guilty as anyone), so stuff it with the other jokes.

| | | | | Is the discussion actually a joke to you?
The subject of trans-gender athletes has been in the news a lot recently because of the Olympics in Japan.
I think it's an interesting one and any decisions made by Sport governing bodies are going to effect sport, especially womens' sport for the next few years.
Sure it's not much of a 'problem' now but that may change.
Some of the comments have been cringe-worthy, as others have pointed out, such as "women lack confidence in sport" or "give trans-women a taste of their own medicine".
Agreed - there's nothing shocking in this thread but I'm not sure it should be in the joke section and it is certainly not a laughing matter to those actually involved.
