Batley And Spen By-Election

Story here:

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-57691543

A narrow victory for Labour despite pressure from the Galloway campaign. The new MP, Kim Leadbetter is the sister of previous MP, the late Jo Cox who was murdered by a far-right terrorist. Sadly she required to run her doorstep campaign with police protection.

Not generally a Labour supporter, but I really like Kim, I think she’ll be good. Even in the immediate aftermath of her sister’s murder she was so strong and eloquent.

Re: Batley And Spen By-Election

How 8000 and odd people could vote for George Galloway is beyond me! Unbelievable given his rhetoric and actions over the years! Glad to see the best candidate won and that the Tories aren't being rewarded for assuming the public don't care about their corruption and rule breaking! They should be ashamed of their actions over the Hancock affair!
