Request the reopening of the Trump post-presidency thread

If anybody is interested in this thread being reopened then please post yes here, I am a yes.

This also gives the possibility that the existing Trump-related threads could be merged in.

No, I've no idea why it was closed. Far as I know there was no raging arguments that warranted it.

And I want to know why there isn’t a Guy Parmalin (pre, during or post) thread!

Just use some initiative and start a new and fresh one, titled appropriately. The old one was a car crash by the end.

Good point. Many Swiss would not even be able to name their own president. This is a great thing to have a president who does not seek fame and publicity. Not like the egotistical narcissists inflicted on other countries, who seek only television cameras.
It is an interesting experience, incidently, to go into a restaurant in Bern and come across the Swiss president or other members of the Bundesrat, enjoying a meal, chatting to the waiters etc., without an obvious security presence. If Trump, Biden, Johnson etc. attempted that someone would be sure to produce a weapon and attack.

I’m still in the States and I’ve noted there are many Trumpsters around, especially in the rural areas. You see signs in the road, bumper stickers and huge flags on pickups. Kind of scary.

Well, that's because Trump's still around holding rallies and still spreading his lies about the election.

Inflation is taking hold here and the gap between the rich and poor is widening… much more than ever before. Some People still feel that Trump’s policies worked and improved their lives while Biden is doing nothing.

Trump may or may not run for the next Presidency but I predict someone who is supported by him will.

My experience is that mods move new Trump threads to the Trash / duplicate questions Forum.

Re: Request the reopening of the Trump post-presidency thread

If it wasn't for Trump potentially running again in the next election and his stranglehold over the GOP, I'd say that I'd prefer to never hear (or read) his name again. He's like the poisonous snake off in the corner that you need to keep your eye on.

Has anyone else noticed how nice it is to be able to read the news now, without Trump's bulls**t constantly dominating the headlines?

Re: Request the reopening of the Trump post-presidency thread

I vote no.

Should he really run for presidency again (and I'm not saying only in his own mind but be nominated) that will be soon enough for a new thread (titled US-elections or something) with him in it.

All the old stuff is left over internals of the US.

Re: Request the reopening of the Trump post-presidency thread

Yes. I'm for a reopen.

He'll be a topic for an extended period of time. As things stand, stuff gets posted in unrelated threads because there's no clearly appropriate thread.

The Giuliani thread and the Trump organisation one wouldn't have been necessary if still was open.

More will follow if his tax records get published, and there's bound to be other stuff.

Keep this in a relevant thread please. Biden's (or Trump's once/if reopened).
