Have you heard about the CG fireworks during the opening ceremony in Beijing?

I read a translated news about the computer graphic fireworks in Beijing olympic opening ceremony.

A Chinese newspaper "京華時報" (I think it is called 'Jing Hwa Times'- not sure) reported on 11 August that some fireworks shown on the screen of the main stadium were produced by Computer Graphic. 28 fireworks out of 29 shown, supposedly happening outside of the stadium during the opening ceremony was a 'graphic'.

It took more than 1 year to produce for less than 1 minute show using CG. They prepared it, because the helicopter flight wasn't allowed over Beijing, ceremony was in the late night and they knew the air polution wouldn't show the world their beautiful fireworks properly.

I appreciate the Chinese try to do their best.

It was a superb bit of programming that's for sure.

Pity about this one:

Although I suspect Photoshop.
