No. Boris Johnson is not 'finished' .The Tories are still 6-12 points ahead in the polls according to the ones published in the past 7 days. For most Tories he's well liked. If you are a political opponent of the Tories, of course you will dislike him. That's in the nature of confrontational politics.

As for your FT quote, this is an utterly disingenuous copy & paste. It's a remark made 18 months ago specifically about the start of the first Covid lockdown when we all thought that a vaccine was a long way off, and we all presumed that Covid would dominate us for a very long time. Things have changed.

Wait and see. I didn't say the Tories are finished- I said Johnson is. And all the signs are there, I believe, that it won't be long. But see how it goes.

The article from the FT is as relevant now as it was then- even more so I believe.
