So maybe politically there is a logic in this move - although it is likely she will just be marginalized between GOP and Dems in 2024.
She has said she will continue to caucus with the Dems, and on policy she mostly voted with Biden anyway. So maybe not much changes. Bernie and King are independents also. | | | | | Manchin has said recently that he has also not ruled out leaving the party. His term is up in 2024 and he is 75 already……..

Her closed ties to big industry lobby groups, especially Pharma, meant she was a pseudo-Dem anyway.

Roughly a third of Arizonans are Republican, Democrat, and independent, each, with the independents leading at 35%. Sinema knows that she’d be considered too left to be a Republican candidate, so she had basically created a mutually assured destruction situation with the Democratic Party if they run someone against her, the vote will split.
She’s going to do what her special interests tell her to anyway.

Trump vs DeSantis by demographic groups among GOP and GOP-leaning independents. Quite interesting to see that younger Republicans prefer Trump over DeSantis by 20 points. Overall, Trump also ahead, but there are other polls that show the opposite. |

From the website: | Quote: | | | | Some will be one-of-one’s (i.e. the only one in the world), while others will be limited to 2, 5, 7, or 10 copies. Which basically means that this is a campaign with a very low ROI. My guess is that this will be followed by a more massive campaign with cheaper, higher volume ones. Otherwise it makes no sense. But then again I catch myself trying to find logic in his actions when there's none.
