Tony, what are conservative Christian values?
The politicians that normally represent those values are on their third or fourth marriage, have had out of wedlock pregnancies, avoid paying taxes etc. etc.

Meanwhile this agnostic liberal has been married for twenty one years, has had no out of wedlock pregnancies and I pay my taxes.

Oh you know... Love thy neighbour, feed the poor, treat others how you would be treated yourself, don't judge, forgive others, something about not casting stones unless you're without sin. All that woke stuff...

Germany should ask itself why so many of the most talented and hard working young Germans prefer to move to Switzerland.
I suppose all those automotive engineers working for BMW, Tesla, etc... can't wait to move here for work for the non-existant Swiss automotive industry.
Or the ones working for AirBus or the ESA are also looking forward to find job...nowhere.

Doesn´t say they will then move to Germany. Why are there so many Germans working in Switzerland? Because they loved it so much in Germany?

Of course it is better here in many ways. Language also helps. But economically, you can make the same argument for Dutch, Polish, English, Spanish etc.

Money? How much does one earn here in every possible job compared to Germany? How much disposable income, savings one has here? How beautiful, clean, well organised, with people who let you be and polite, is Switzerland? It definitely scores extremely well in every aspect of life for all of us not only Germans. Proximity to their home country where many can still shop in weekends, visit relatives, same language, etc etc
Meantime the low skilled as well as highly skilled positions in Germany were replaced with Eastern Europeans. For whom, again, Germany is better than their home countries. How can we stop that??

Italians, French etc too.
I have only one desire when I'm thinking of these things, just to keep things as they are and not piss off the natives.....too much.

It gets really interesting to look at the numbers.

About 5% of German citizens are registered as living abroad. This is thelocal.de, if you have better source pls share https://www.thelocal.de/20191206/mor...sional-reasons

There are about 788K Swiss citizens living abroad for a total population of 8.7 million (including foreigners). That's 9% or almost twice as Germany.

https://www.eda.admin.ch/eda/en/fdfa...itzerland.html https://www.bfs.admin.ch/bfs/en/home...opulation.html

The fraction of Swiss living abroad rises to 12% considering there's only 6.494 million citizens in Ch.

https://www.eda.admin.ch/eda/en/fdfa...itzerland.html

If we use the metric of fraction of citizens living abroad, Switzerland should be a really bad place to live. So, I'd refrain from linking number of emigrants to life conditions.

How many of these were born abroad or got a passport abroad due to their partner?
I´d imagine that a lot of Swiss people - a lomg time ago - left when their country wasn´t as well off as it is now?

It's a comparison with Germany. I think it was a long time ago since Germany had better overall conditions than CH.

Yeah, and she still doesn't believe women with a migration background are primarily targeted. In fact she seems comfortable with this idea
Quote:
"If you want to disparage and insult someone personally, you look for certain points to attack a person."
(how true, isn't it...)

Translated by google, from the article

Quote:
Sanija Ameti, co-president of Operation Libero and member of the GLP, started a debate at the beginning of the year: she decided to publish some of the malicious letters she receives every day anonymously. There are up to 100 a day, and senders are often men with typical Swiss names, says Ameti. The devaluation of women, especially those with a migration background, has a system in Switzerland. She wants to show that.
Sarah Regez, a student and SVP member in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, also explains what one experiences as a politically exposed person in Switzerland. She writes on Twitter: "I've been referred to as N*zi 19 times since joining the SVP. How long is your tally?" Regez recently said in a portrait of the "SonntagsZeitung" how she experiences exclusion at the university because she refuses to use gender language.

How does she know who sends them when they're supposedly anonymous?
Logic isn't everybody's forte, it's enough to play into prejudices and stereotypes.

A comparison that makes zero sense.

Germany's ten times larger, and you're comparing the total population abroad of one country to the immigration into one single country of the other.

You're right, probably the senders take up fake typical Swiss names (like a "pen name")...but she shouldn't assume they're all Swiss.

Percentages are difficult sometimes, but read again When you work with percentages, the 10x in population is irrelevant.

Quote:
Currently, five percent of Germans live abroad.
Anyway, if this number is wrong. What's the right one?

I do like these questions from people who don't understand (or rather pretend not to) how or why the West came to the settlements that it did over religion, or how Christianity has formed a cornerstone of Western tradition. Preferring to imagine everything we can be grateful for today simply sprung out of thin air.
