Honestly, I think it only puts more pressure on the man.

What has he done to deserve it? "Allot more than Bush"...

Re: U.S. President Barack Obama named 2009 winner of Nobel Peace Prize

could be a false politics, to portray that he hasnt done any thing...

because it is easy for everyone to ask what has he done?

but its a pity , nobel peace prize is also handled like everyother prize

I could agree more if it was called " Nobel Attempt At Peace Prize." Gotta give him credit for attempting....

Re: Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize

This is really crazy. Peace prizes have always been motivated by politics, but they could have found other worthy candidates with years of efforts in promoting peace.

Re: U.S. President Barack Obama named 2009 winner of Nobel Peace Prize

Just this morning I was wondering what joke of a choice will they make for the Nobel Peace Prize.

I did not even imagine such a stupid choice.

I'm blacker than Obama, what do I get?

Deserving does not apply. It's like the Oscars.

Quote:
he was awarded it for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples".

His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population

Hahaha! That is adorable.

Notice they say "diplomacy", and not "foreign policy", or "actions".
