Americain wins the 150th Melbourne Cup

French raider Americain has won the 150th Melbourne Cup.

One of the top chances for the 3200-metre handicap, the American-bred French-raced stayer finished impressively, powering past the post ahead of Maluckyday and pre-race favourite So You Think.

Ooops I forgot it was even on.

Kind of lucky really as I've lost a small fortune on that bloody race in the past.
