Turkey is the world leader in jailed journalists.

Hamas (or proxies) are still firing rockets at Israel - not at the army, that would be too difficult, but at civilians. May Israel borrow the Turkish model for a while ?
For a change read about how IDF deals with palestinian minor. B'Tselem report.

A very concrete case...let's say daily scenery under israeli occupation:

Mediterranean coppers.

Do you really believe the Greek, Turkish, Serbian or Albanian police are any gentler?

country's models can be investigated on how well/badly they treat certain categories of the population like minor/children or journalists. Apparently Israel has a special treatment for AlJazeera journalists.

Really?

The only significant difference I can see is that the Israeli police, unlike their virtually identical counterparts in the rest of the Eastern Mediterranean, are Jewish.

I suppose we can excuse a bit of suspect bashing from the Greeks, Turks, Serbs or Albanians, considering...

your liking of seeing the world split into jews & non-jews is puzzling.

When there's a two thousand post thread on the subject of northern Cyprus, Kosova or Kurdistan, then I might start believing that the world's obsession with Israel isn't connected with the fact that it's the nation state of the world's most despised people.

but you people in Israel & Palestine have the same imaginary friend so there must be a peaceful way to resolve this?
Or don't you get good guidance from above

Some facts from the "advanced search" function provided by the forum for the last 6 months:

- there were 362 posts in this very thread: 20% of them from Pashosh, 15% from myself and 14% from hoppy.
- In the last 6 months, my posts in this thread represented less than 10% of my total posts whereas 18% of Pashosh's total posts are for this thread.

Facts give an interesting perspective on who's obsessed and causing the inflation in posts.

Apparently that guy promised the country to one lot but forgot to send the memo to the other lot.

Given that this thread is about Israel, and given that Pashosh comes from Israel, I'd say he can be excused from having a particular fascination with this subject.

Meanwhile, some might wonder what your obsession with Pashosh is all about.

You're reaching the limits of your rational argumentation...it's becoming now ridiculous. Thread is about "israel & palestine" not only israel.

Given that my father's country has been invaded & attacked by Israel, do I have the moral right to post here? Am I entitled to a forbearance?

This thread was ridiculous ninety pages ago.

OK, that accounts for two posters in this thread.

And everyone else? Why the interest in Israel?

Well, it's full of f---ing Yids, isn't it?

If that was the reason then we should also be having 90 page threads about New York.

True - but those Yids know their place.

You know, they were offered a perfectly good Oblast in Siberia. What possessed them to insist on having their own homeland in the place where they came from in the first place escapes me.

Some people are just never satisfied, eh?

What's that? Ganging up on the only Israeli member of the forum who can be arsed to enter this thread?

That's hardly sporting, is it, old chap?
