This is fact in most countries. For several reasons

> immigrants often, upon arrival in the "chosen" country, have to work in places not really their dream, and so are open to new ways
> immigrants are not surrounded by heaps of relatives with doubts and hesitations and weird questions (but did you, etc), and so might be more ready to go ahead
> immigrants have a different culture, a different cuisine to offer, and so have a unique market chance
