The 10:10 tragedy : Green self goal

I've been green since I was a kid, before the term Green was even invented - involved in Nature preservation, polution reduction, you name it.

Since the radical "Global Warming" crowd took over I felt betrayed - They tried to cow people into submition: "Unless you do what we say, the world will end by global warming".

Global warming may be a threat, but it pales in comparison to good old polution & deforestation which are killing so many people now. but, of course, they are not as sexy as imagining New york under water.

Now they came up with this stupid campaign: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11458726

And to think that Richard Curtis wrote this idiocy. The man co-wrote Blackadder for F%&ks sake !

These celebrity idiots are doing so much damage, it's tragic.

You're right. It is pretty stupid.

Is this how they intend to persuade the doubters?

I'm assuming that the 'radical global warming crowd' is not the scientists....

No, the global scientists definitely have a case - there is a risk, and reducing CO emissions is needed.

But:
1. it's not the most urgent task, unfortunately.
2. blowing up people to make a point is idiotic.
