Does she have to be a virgin like his mother was when she married Charles?? She had to be checked by a doctor before she could marry him.

HALLELUJAH!!!!!! | | | | | | Quote: | | | | Does anybody know where I can get a commemorative plate in Zurich?
It would make an ideal present for the in-laws. | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | Will we be making a plate? | | | | | Yes, it will be for sale on the EF market soon, limited edition so make sure to be first in line. On Topic:
I haven't seen the plate yet, but the coin was made and failed..
I find it hard to recognize them on it.
Found this quote online.. " Everyone who has seen the Commemorative Coin with the botched likenesses of Kate and William are coming up with some very unkind things to say about them. Everything from calling William a "hunka hunka burnin' love" to "whoa, how many times do you think Kate got stung by those bees?"

New secrecy rule for William | Quote: | | | | Letters, emails and documents relating to the monarch, her heir and the second in line to the throne will no longer be disclosed even if they are in the public interest.
Sweeping changes to the Freedom of Information Act will reverse advances which had briefly shone a light on the royal finances – including an attempt by the Queen to use a state poverty fund to heat Buckingham Palace | | | | | http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...y-2179148.html |

'Royal Wedding Fever' seems to be breaking out in the shops here in Hastings. Many have wedding themed displays in their windows and Union Flag's are in evidence all over the place.
Is there any interest in the wedding building up in Switzerland?
Don't forget these two events: We're having a party! Get dressed up and celebrate the Royal Wedding, Zurich Royal Wedding day PARTY, AaRaU
Are there any more?

A rather bitter take on the wedding in Le Temps (free registration required): Quelque chose de neuf, quelque chose de vieux. Title translates into "Something old, something new", conclusion is: | Quote: | | | | Dans ce mariage qui fascine tant, on veut bien croire qu’il y a quelque chose de neuf. Mais il y a aussi quelque chose de vraiment vieux. Qui donne à l’ensemble comme un arrière-goût de périmé. | | | | | Translation: | Quote: | | | | In this fascinating marriage we may well want to believe that there is something new. But there's also something really old. Which gives the whole thing a stale aftertaste. | | | | | If you do not read French it is really not worth coping with the awful Google translation |

Although it's not directly related to the wedding, this could affect William & Kate's kids so I think this story belongs in this thread. Currently, the only way for a woman to become Princess of Wales is to marry the current or future Prince of Wales. (Before she became queen, Elizabeth was the Princess Royal.) If this rule change goes into affect, if the William and Kate have a daughter, that girl will be the future Princess of Wales and next in line to be Queen regardless of how many brothers are born afterword. If you have to have a monarchy, in my opinion this rule makes sense: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13103587
The only fly in the ointment is that Commonwealth countries where the British monarch is head of state (Canada and Australia, but not India, for example) have to approve similar legislation in their national parliaments for this to become legal.

The last straw for me was the fire at Windsor Castle following the fire at Hampton Court, where the Queen expected the British public to foot the bill for her art collection. | Quote: | | | | The BBC estimated the annual cost to the British Public of keeping the Royal Family to be £41.5M though this figure does not include the cost of security provided by the Police and the Army. [1] The cost of the British Monarchy is five times more the cost of the Spanish Royal Household. [2] Forbes magazine estimated the Queen's net worth at around US$450 million in 2009. | | | | | [3] Wikipedia.
Think of how much good 41.5 Million could do for education or housing or the NHS or.....
