• Less than half (47%) of young adults would assume that the person they are intimate with doesn’t want to have sex with them if they are being physically pushed away. This indicates that more than half would not view this behaviour as a deterrent.

• Only 57% would assume that the person they are intimate with doesn’t want to have sex when they say no. This suggests that 43% don’t think ‘No means No.’

Although 56% say they would never pressure their partner into having sex with them against their will, this suggests that 44% would.

Over a third (37%) say that they would assume their partner does not want to have sex with them if they were crying. This suggests that 63% would not be put off by tears.

What does "pressure" mean? Does that include taking them out for a nice meal beforehand. Saying "oh come on, we haven't had sex since yesterday"? The trouble with these questions is that they're very much open to interpretation. And you don't know what other questions were asked prior to these ones. Same applies to any survey.

How to design a survey to get the result you want

From what I understand of date rape, at least the initial part is enjoyable (the mutual groping, fondling, kissing, undressing etc. I guess only the penetrative part is the "rape" part ).

Which brings me to the philosophical question (or a practical question): what exactly is rape? Easy to prove a man was guilty because he was physically "ready" for it, so blame him. But what about the woman's role in the act? Suppose she was fully aroused at that time and facilitated the process to go on smoothly, can she still ethically claim she was raped just because she happened to say No at some point? Isn't it more like the mouth says one thing but the rest of her body and mind says something else
To stay on the philosophical question, I guess this is something that is slippery to define in a formal sense, but when it happens you damn well know what it is and what it isn't. So a woman may well say no as part of the game but I think you do know when you're crossing a line and when you're just going along with the game. Some couples even "play rape" and you can buy accessories specifically for this (not speaking from personal experience of course). I believe that some women also fantasize about that sort of rape as it is a recurring theme in womens' erotic literature, much more than it is in the male equivalent anyway. But in the real worls I think it is always clear when it's a game and when it's for real. I believe people who say they misunderstood body language and such things are clinging at straws.

What about Rape inside of a relationship? How often some women have to put up with sex when not in the mood, not interested?

an intrinsic fear of pregnancy and a resulting life long relationship with a someone i didnt like, always kept my alcohol consumption manageable..

who knows what those women would have done to me otherwise...

Or vice versa.

But I admit, some of my "Don't! Stop! Don't! Stop!" have turned into "Don't stop! Don't stop!". So perhaps men can't really be raped by women, can they?

Re: Where is your line? [Rape Awareness]

Does "No mean No" mean No when I take her handbag shopping?

Because I tell you what, afterwards I feel like I have been raped

I'm being flippant. As soon as a Yes becomes a No then the sexual act turns from mutual to rape - IMHO.

As far as I know for a woman to rape a man - she'd have to penetrate him - in the same way a man would rape a man.

Re: Where is your line? [Rape Awareness]

well no, a woman could in a sense rape a man by forcing him to have sex with her through manipulative means, a tryst, abusing her position of power by threatening things if the act is not carried out, employee / employer situation, it works both ways. Excluding the anatomical differences men and women are exactly the same, and as a result capable of the same thoughts feelings, and actions.

I thought that was sexual assault.

US biased description

A woman can't penetrate a mans vagina - so that leaves the same way as male on male rape - which is force pentration of the anus or mouth - in a womans case - by use of an artifical penis.
