Believe me, German is not so difficult! You should just start it! You can find many similarities with English while studying. But of course, swiss German is something different... I got level B1 just in several months living in Germany and attending courses twice a week. Right now I am about B2 and can communicate in German quite well... at least people understand me...

Hello,

With a maths degree, have you considered a move into banking?

There is little need for anything except english in Zurich banking (quant or similar).

Cheers

Same goes for commercial (for companies, not individuals) insurance and reinsurance - there's a fair few companies in Zürich in this industry (e.g. Infrassure) and English is generally the only pre-requisite language-wise, due to their international clientelle

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

(Well, this is the introductions thread. Job searching is best done in the Jobs Wanted section, after eligibility )
