Not quite there yet

Hi

I'm new to the forum, and a stickler for rules, so, following the instructions given, I thought I'd better introduce myself.... my fiance has secured a job in the wider Zurich canton, and will be starting early in July, shortly after our wedding, so in less that six months, we are moving over from middle England to somewhere near Zurich!

I'm here trying to suss out what I should do between now and July, when we move over, to ease the transition into a new country and new lifestyle....learn German (I can ask where the train station is in schoolgirl german, but not much else anymore!), get a job (with my limited schoolgirl german), find a flat, work out what is the Asda and Waitrose of Swiss supermarkets, etc etc....

I'm also interested in identifying any social circles that we can crash, and where to go for a beer on a Friday night etc

So, hi, and see you in six months!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the making the decision to head to Switzerland.

I'm sure you will find a lot of your questions have already been answered, so have a good look around the forum first and then I'm sure there will be willing volunteers to help out for anything less usual you may want to know

Cheers!

Welcome to the Forum.

As a stickler for rules you'll fit in with the Swiss just fine.

Good luck!
