From India to Switzerland

Hi
I am Jaslanika. I am in Switzerland to do my bachelors degree in hospitality. I am currently enrolled in Les Roches, international school of hotel management.
The culture and society is really different from India. I had some problems adjusting in the society, but now i have no problems. I do find swiss extremely costly.
But, overall its a beautiful country and i am loving to stay here.

It's "Switzerland" and not "Swiss". This may upset some fellow forum members

Re: From India to Switzerland

Again, an easy mistake to make if you are in French speaking Switzerland, as Switzerland = Suisse.

Glad you are finding it easier now - Spring on the Leman riviera is just beautiful, so not too long to wait.

Hi Jaslanika,

Welcome to Switzerland, I can understand the initial hiccups which any one new to any country may come across with...but glad that you are adjusting. All the best for your bachelors degree.
:-)

Best wishes,
Vik

Re: From India to Switzerland

Hi Jas,
Welcome to Switzerland. Even ppl who work in Switzerland crib abt the cost of living, so I can understand your situation as a student with no income. Only tip which i can give you is to stop converting Swiss Francs into Rupees when you spend.
On the brighter side, as the Swiss economy is in a better position than other economies, you have made the right choice by coming here.

Welcome to Switzerland!
You have chosen a very beautiful, welcoming and safe country to live in!
The cost of living here is one reason why it has such a high quality of life. But, I can understand that as a student it must be really challenging.
Good luck anyways and definitely recommend you to go outdoors even if it is really cold for someone who comes from a hot country!

Have fun!
