Well, I hope that you don't mind having an interloper from across the border joining in here! I live in Annecy, France, which is about 45-50 minutes drive from Geneva, so I spend quite a bit of my time there. I'm British/Swedish by nationality, but I've been outside of both countries for so long that I'm no longer sure where 'home' is, bar my little haven of peace in Annecy!

I'm in the process of divorcing and my ex now lives in Geneva, so I shall be bothering you all with questions on how that works in Switzerland (after doing some research of the past threads, of course!) The divorce is very amicable, so we're looking for the best place to divorce (France, my home, Germany, where I work and also have residency, or Switzerland, where my ex lives and works), so plenty of research is definitely a requirement!

I work in marketing for a Japanese IT vendor and am fairly well-versed in all sorts of boring IT issues. Aside from that, I have a huge passion for cooking and will promise to appear continually in any food or drink related thread!

Aside from that, I suppose that I am just another ex-pat who has developed too much of a liking for the international life style! This seems like a good place to meet other like-minded people! I hope to be spending quite a bit of time here!
