Hi, it might not be the right time now. It is too cold except for skiing.
You can take a newspaper-like brochure in the tourism office. It has detailed introductions to different sights here. I have followed it to Basel, Bern, Luzern, Rigi mountain, Geneva, St Gallen. When it gets warner, say in March, I think I will start again to explore Swizerland.

Re: Wants to meet new people :)

I'm actually in a similar boat. Been living here for 15months and haven't seen much of the country. Been keeping an eye on the social activites forum to see if anythings happening but (not surprisingly due to winter) there isn't a whole lot at the moment.

In any case welcome to the forum and hopefully we'll both get to see more of this amazingly beautiful country

www.glocals.com is a community with other expats posting events, and a lot are trips to the outdoors together, such as a group visit Grindelwald or Arosa, etc. Might be useful to you.

Re: Wants to meet new people :)

Sorry I didn't mean to be cheeky or discouraging. There are a lot of nice people on here and I have met dozens of members myself.

Just follow some of the advice on the other thread I quoted ... which is mostly good common sense anyway....
