Keen to meet 'older' ladies in Zurich

Hi, I am a 48 years old and about to move to Zurich with my husband. I am very keen to meet new people, join book clubs, art groups, gyms etc. I have 2 girls of 20 and 22 in the UK so will not be meeting friends through the schools and have a fear of being lonely!!! Please get in touch if you are in a similar position

Welcome to the Forum and good luck with your move to Zurich. Your opening title may elicit some interesting replies!! However, once you arrive, check out the events calendar here, and I am sure that you will find plenty of opportunities to meet 'older' ladies

Welcome to Switzerland, Shazza!

I've met many a kindred spirit through the Zürich International Women's Association - including fellow book lovers. There are currently 9 or 10 different book clubs running, as well as a couple of art-oriented groups, several sports activities:

All the best as you settle into your Swiss adventure.

Hi and welcome to the forum
Where are you going to be living? as you say its much harder as you get older to make new friends,
We moved 3 years ago to Zurich and even though have lots of friends in the village that we lived for 27 years Im missing someone to go and have a coffee now and again
If your in the Zurich area give a ring when you get here
