| | I cook for the rich n' posh as a private chef...just arrived in Geneva
Hi
The title of this post says it all really. I'm a Canadian/British 30-something woman who is a employed as a private chef. I also dabble in childcare and housekeeping-type things mainly because I'm kind and resourceful and my employers are very good people.
I'm going to be firing all sorts of threads on here because I'm having to hit the ground running on a lot of things...that's my nature. I'm going to be in Geneva for 4 months working for a lovely family during their "winter" before I get dragged onto their next glamorous home. And then I'll be back! At the same time I'm going to want to help friends get a decent job who deserve a decent job in such a fantastic country like Switzerland.
The reason for joining a forum is that Googling can only take me so far and I need to get under the veneer of a city pretty quick. There is more to London than Big Ben and red telephone boxes and Geneva is going to be no exception!

| | | | | The best stuff I cook is Mediterranean, Italian, British and Spanish. I adore making Middle Eastern buffets, sushi is fun to do as are complicated canapes. I specialise in seafood, including despatch of live crabs/lobster and all kinds of shellfish--shame that Switzerland is landlocked! That said, everything I do is classic and old school proper. I believe in doing Michelin star presentation of something like a caesar salad.

Welcome here, and don't hesitate to flood us with recipe posts. I am not posh nor rich, nor do I like sea food, but we are a bunch of foodies here. Geneva is tiny, you will have it sussed out in a few days.

Sounds great, I am not rich and posh, but looking for a full time home helper with cleaning and cooking more on the family cooking rather than 3 star, cos not sure if the 3 kids will appecaite, but better than baked beans! If you have any friends who are open to the challenge, live in just outside geneva!
