| | Re: St Gallen | Quote: | | | | | Hi there,
I'm looking for English speakers socialize with in St. Gallen as well. Looks like there have been a lot of new people introducing themselves who are new to St. Gallen... perhaps we should organize a meet up?
I've been here since November. My husband is in school and I am working remotely for my American company. I moved here from DC.
~ Caroline | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | I second the notion of a meet up..... | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | I maybe can make it for meeting after work on weekdays or weekends then... | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | Ey ! I don't check the forum so often, but It would be really great to make a meet up in St Gallen some weekend What are you thinking ?
Have a nice evening ! | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | I think it's a great idea! I really want to meet up with some new people. It would be awesome to have some events like the English speakers in the Zurich area do. | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | I'm new to the city too, it looks like there are definitely enough people in St. Gallen for a meet-up | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | BTW a weekend meet up would be especially good as I work long hours during the week | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | I've been living in St. Gallen for awhile now but am always looking for new English speaking friends! I came to Switzerland in 2007 to be an Au Pair and have been here ever since, and am now married :-)
Anyone interested in meeting up, send me a message | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | I'm in in St Gallen too and think we should definitely arrange a meet up!!! | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | hey, AnaFau!
Funnily enough, I also moved here a couple of weeks ago to be with my boyfriend. I'm from the States as well: Baltimore, MD. I'd love to meet up with everyone when a time is set up.
Are you on a job hunt as well? | | | | | So who's going to take the plunge and organise an EF social event? Please do it soon otherwise this could end up being the longest EF soap opera yet. Make it interesting enough and you may even tempt some out of towners like me | The following 2 users would like to thank grumpygrapefruit for this useful post: | |

Otherwise, if you're not a member of the group you would never hear about it. And as I said above, you may event get members from out of town popping by for a drink.
EDIT: such as Sutter

I just tried to but it said I dont have sufficient permission. Im assuming that is because Im new to EF, and I guess jcook would have the same problem. It would be awesome if someone else could help out and make the event.

Ask Sutter to put it onto the calendar for you. She's a helpful type and is hoping to come too.

Yeah, I don't have permission either. I would highly appreciate any assistance from a more qualified member Whoever gets to it first can even pick the restaurant if Stars and Stripes doesn't sound appealing to you. Thanks in advance!! Hope to see everyone there.

Thanks for doing the organising, Sutter!
I'm really sorry but I'm one of those who has expressed interest in an SG get-together but didn't make it to your thingy after you went to all the trouble of organising it. Sorry! I've been busy and forumless (and internetless) and only just saw the posts about the 12th.
Hopefully some of our move chaos will subside a little soon!
