Found a place....

We tried 2 places, applied for one and got it after driving from Munich one time. Is this pure luck? The area is sub-urban, no industry nearby, close to a bit of green belt......I wouldn't call our search easy, it was certainly difficult in the beginning, finding the right place always is in a reasonable area. I am writing this after reading quite a few stories on here about finding a place, that we learnt from, and helped us in preparation, thank you all. I pass on our luck to you, Helvetica smiles down upon us. Look forward to meeting some of you when we're settled in.

What? You think people should introduce themselves in the Introductions section?

Well I'm British, currently live in Landshut, Bavaria. Upon my wife, whom is Deutsch, (we're making love not war) finding a job in Zürich, well lets move to Die Schweiz, awesome country.

I see grumpygrapefruit has a cheese shop, any wensleydale or lancashire??!

Wensleydale all the time. As a Yorkshireman though, I'm not really allowed to sell Lancashire, but I do smuggle some in from time to time.

Re: Found a place....

Just for the record, consecutive posts, especially very short ones, tend to get merged by the nasty, nasty Mods. They are so often a sign that the poster wants to get to a post-count of ten to put an Ad in the Market Place. Sorry, normally I wouldn't do it in the Introductions forum. It was pure force of habit.

Now what has a typeface to do with your luck?

Welcome to the Forum and to Mr. Grapefruit's cheeses.

By the way, Grumpy, how about a new slogan, "Cheeses saved me"?

lol, as a yorkshireman myself I'm not supposed to eat it, cheshire is also good, but again, historically I shouldn't be eating it....

Don't worry, because historically, Cheshire is an Italian cheese.

It's always easier in the suburbs or a bit out of the city. Also easier if the rent is on the high side.
