English family in Zurich

Hello everybody and a big thank you for all of the extremely helpful information posted on this forum. My family moved to Zurich a year ago from the UK and we're enjoying discovering the Swiss way of life. Both younger children, aged 10 and 11 years, attend the local primary school, (the two elder children are at uni in the UK) and husband works in the Uetlihof area. We live in, Oberglatt, a small, quiet (we've got used to the noise from the planes but not the church bells) village with lovely walks around the fields and river plus it's very handy for the airport. Recently started learning German and now just want to say hi and hope to meet up with some friendly faces!

Re: English family in Zurich

Hiya, welcome to the Forum. I lived in Oberglatt a couple of decades ago. Organized the opening of a renovated restaurant there also the one in Niederglatt. Good to hear your settling in.
