New to Zurich

Hi, I've just moved to Zurich and am looking for things to do, places to go and people to see. I'm single, work in fitness, have just come from living in the Middle East, and originally from England. If anyone can suggest good places to go (alone!), or would like to meet for a coffee/drink, let me know.

Hi AMG123, welcome to Zurich and the EF!

If you're after things to do, drop into the Social Events section - there are two drinks events in Zurich this week, iirc (one Wednesday, one Saturday). Doubtless more to get into as well, including various sports and hobby groups ... get in there!

Hello AMG, Did you just come from Dubai?

I was working in Saudi Arabia for the past 6 months and spent many
weekends in Dubai.

Hi and welcome to Switzerland and the forum.

How are you coping with the change in climate between here and the Middle East? Then again, you're also from the UK so it should be a synch for you when it comes to the weather here.

Definitely check out the Social Events section of the forum and get yourself down for any that are of interest to you.

You'll meet lots of interesting people at these, make new friends and have a lot of fun too!

Hi, I came from Bahrain - loved it there! I went to Dubai a couple of times - never to Saudi!!!

Coping OK with the weather - I soent some days in UK before I came out here and again at Christmas and I thought it was colder back home. I do miss all the sun though. Will have a scan through the social events - thanks!
