Re: New to Basel, out of my mind with worry

Hi Folks,

Thank you to everyone who has replied, gave advice, welcomed me etc.

As you probably guess, I am not good on these things so for all, this is the plan:

I have my appartment got, it is in Therwil. I am arriving on Friday the 29th with a blow up bed from Tesco. When I was in Basel last week, I managed to get a chair and a lamp which the landlord allowed me to store in the basement so will be living in the lap of luxury.

The family arrive on June 22nd. I will be busy doing more Ikea shopping and setting up but of course, socialising will be also very high on the agenda so either let me know or keep putting things in the events page.

Looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible so saying that, if there are any rugby fans out there, Munster and Leinster are playing on Saturday. I will make my way to Paddys, I will be the awkward looking reclouse sitting there with no mates in a Munster shirt

Best Regards
Brendan
Hi Brenan - I have 3 daughters (13. 10 & 6) and am just down the road from you in Stallen. Would be happy to meet up with your wife and girls when they arrive - PM me and will let you have my contact details.

Re: New to Basel, out of my mind with worry

Hi all,

My first post since arriving in Basel land. All going fine. to Millie and Claire, I am sure my wife and the girls would be only too delighted to meet up but they do not arrive until the 22nd of June so if we do not contact you until then, this is the reason and the same for all the other very kind offers we have received. It is my job at the mo to get everything organised apartment wise so that they can more or less move straight in.

Once they have arrived and I get telephone/internet access, will be contacting quite a few of ye

Thank you all and will talk soon
Brendan
