....yes, i'm talking to you now,unknown friends @ englishforum, a place i found (by chance? i don't think so) in this yet another saturday closed alone at home with a brand new pc i am not supposed to have (and even less to use it!!)...but now glad to be in this site (ooh the wonders of the WWW!!)...i really hope things may change a little bit, after 7 months living in this hot cold land and having so few friends to shake things a little bit...
...you are welcome to drop by my page everytime you feel like, even if it's to write a single word- it will always mean so much to me :-) in the meantime i'll look around the several posts i see here (veeery interesting ones indeed!!), even the oldest ones, and maybe i give my contribution to them- a way to show my appreciation...
Thank you for reading this post, and i'm ager to meet you all sooner :-)

Thanx Australian, it's been quite a tuff exercise, but i believe it pays...like they say in the add "slow down...take it easyyy" :-)

I know very much how you feel, i moved here in 2009 (first time) as a dependent. I found that I would hide in the flat with my children. I went back to england last year for a break away and it really made me realize just what I have here. It takes time and this time round I am feeling much better, going to the social events and arranging to meet other people. My german (or lack there of) really hinders me here, but I found a German conversation group of here, I am going to try this week, I am not too good with new situations but, you have to start somewhere..... so I guess what I am trying to say is that if I can do it...... Hope your already de-frosting with the posts you received
