New girl in Zurich

Just moved to Zurich from London.... well Essex and just wanted to say HI!, I have been lurking since before my move, but just wanted to say a big hello, and to get a few friends in this great big place.

I have moved to Zurich for work, but trust me it's not exciting as I work in I.T.

I am looking to move out of my serviced apartment in about a week, as I miss making a place I can call my own. Gotta get ALL over IKEA!!

Anyway if you want to contact me just give me a shout.

See ya!

I dunno, I prefer the Chelmsford Meadows to Bahnhofstrasse anyday!

Where else can I find a JJB, Cash Converters and Poundland all in one place

Re: New girl in Zurich

Hi,

I joined the forum last night as I am due to move to Zurich at the end of May and thought I'd do some advance social networking.

I've been in Strasbourg for the last two and a bit years, so know very well whats its like to start with zero social life in a new place.

Looking forward to Zurich though and if you guys don't mind, would like to meet up at some point after I get there.

Main interests are football (of course), drinks/beer, and generally socialising.

OK, off to watch the Calcutta Cup match in one of Strasbourg's finest Irish pubs. May the best team win - as long as they play in blue!!

Cheers!!

Re: New girl in Zurich

I would love to "thank" you all for reminding me what I miss most about the UK... cheap cheerful shops, gotta get onto the designer shops, or H+M .

Well i hope to meet some of you people as we are all in the same boat in a way, and if there is any help I can give, probably will be restricted to some I.T. support though.

Re: New girl in Zurich

Hi there - I have just moved from London, alas, not Essex, but one of my best friends is from Essex so I have been to Sugar Hut and everything! I am looking to meet some fun people (and really want to make some girlfriends!) and make some friends so let me know if you want to meet up. It is time to start meeting people outside of work I think!

Hope you are settling in OK
